My guess is once he gets to prison he'll wish he had gotten the death penalty.
apparently he's pretty popular at the jail he's being held at (not in that way, sickos haha) i guess he's a folk hero among inmates. stuff like inmates giving him haircuts inside, also all the inmates yelling "free luigi" to the News Nation reporter etc. i think he won't have to worry as much as a normal inmate.

No. He had a cell phone in his right hand, and there is a video that tries to claim that after he was shot in the head he somehow managed to drop his phone and grab a magazine from behind himself in 0.01 seconds. Or, you know, the phone stayed in his right hand.
Yeah exactly. There are photos of him filming with his phone in his right hand, it’s obvious he’s still holding it during the scuffle. No reaching for his holster, no pulling out mags (what good would that even do him?) Any zoomed in stabilized 360p image of a blurry dark object in his right hand is the phone.
Oh I have no concern, I’m just reacting to your post, as is the nature of a thread. It’s just funny to me to pen a flowery exaggerated caricature of someone that assuredly does not exist, for what reason. To laugh at or mock? I have MAGA friends and liberal friends and they are multidimensional people that do not live in cliches. It’s a better way of moving through the world.
Very strange fanfiction about an imagined enemy.
re: Funny how the Left had no problem when Obama said this.

If anything, the duplicity of Obama shows that Trump could run his same exact agenda, but if he presented it with the same veneer of respectability that Obama excelled in, the media would fall in line immediately. It's why I think Vance will be so successful in '28
quote:
Great talking point yet the reality is the media did not demonize it and pump up the insurrection
Likewise, the Democrat politicians didn't put a stop to anything either
This is also true
I'm pretty sure the left did have a problem with this. It's one reason Obama is regarded as a fake empty suit that's ran off to netflix by everyone except the libbiest of libs. His deportations did have protests, not to the extent of what we're seeing now, but he didn't have ICE agents visible in the streets, and certainly not incidents causing the deaths of american citizens

No. I graduated from LSU and registered years ago to follow threads during football season. Just because I don't have many posts doesn't mean I didn't lurk for years.
but I don't ever get this perspective, anyone with slightly different politics is stirring shite? Do you really want this forum to be a safe space where everyone thinks identically? how is that fun or stimulating? might as well be talking to a wall or your dog.

YES - Obama was 'deporter-in-chief' - and nobody interfered with it - in fact rejoiced in his efforts.
I can stop you here. Nobody on the left rejoiced in Obama's deporting efforts at any point in time. In their minds it's one of the stains on his legacy.

You tried to talk about a completely different incident, and ended the post with “Just trying to get a baseline of what caliber of new retard we have on hand here” why would that dignify a response?
You seem incapable of having an actual discussion without resorting to hacky tropes, so it’s beneath me to even continue responding to you ;)

Good point, casual ordinary guy stopping in to tell us about all the knowledge he's amassed from his family full of LEOs with no particular agenda, I will keep that in mind when I want to be taken seriously ;)
I have an uncle that is a cop, that’s not a family full of LEOs. But context and truth doesn’t seem to matter to you, your arguing style is to ignore the substance of posts and make silly ad hominem attacks because you have nothing to say. WAIT, I forgot the smiley at the end ;)
Also if “rocksteady” is a reference to the Chemical Brothers, good taste

You now know the level of training the law enforcement team had completed. You must be an insider, or an idiot. And yes, if they were engaged he should never have inserted himself. That is not a precedent we want to establish. Otherwise the next time momma runs up while her baby is getting arrested then she will be allowed into the scene, sounds pretty chaotic to me
I have a cousin who is now an ICE agent, I’m aware of their training. It’s not lengthy. I’m comparing it to other members of my family who are in actual law enforcement. That’s where my perspective comes from.
Also, were those two women even being arrested? It looked like they were just being chased away by an overeager agent with mace. They were never cuffed. The decedent moving to help the two women in distress seems different than butting into an actual moment of arrest.
quote:
So tell me, why weren’t there protests then? How did the left in the country who supported deportations suddenly view it as an evil act that needed protests and intervention to prevent? Thousands of removals are happening across the country but for some reason the only place where violence has occurred is in the very state where the governor, mayor, AG and Lt Ag have all called for citizens to resist.
Oh there were protests. But Obama was better at keeping the actions of DHS more under the surface. Trust, if ICE agents had killed American citizens during his presidency, there would’ve been similar protests to what we’re seeing now. This goes beyond blue/red politics when citizens are being shot dead in the streets.
I’m being lazy but this is the first google AI result for Obama’s deportation protests
quote:
Protests against President Barack Obama's immigration policies intensified between 2011 and 2016, driven by immigrant rights groups, faith leaders, and activists outraged by record-setting deportation levels. Activists labeled Obama the "Deporter-in-Chief," urging him to halt deportations through executive action rather than waiting for congressional immigration reform.
Key aspects of the anti-deportation movement during this era included:
The "Not One More" Campaign: A nationwide campaign in 2014, including in Orange County, CA, aimed at pressuring the administration to stop separating families.
Civil Disobedience: Over 100 faith leaders (nuns, pastors, rabbis) were arrested outside the White House in 2014, urging a stop to the 1,100 daily deportations.
Targeting Administrative Action: Protests in 2013 and 2014, including in California, targeted the administration's, particularly after the failure of comprehensive immigration reform, demanding a halt to removals, as noted in this National Day Laborer Organizing Network report.
RAIDS Response: Protests intensified following administration raids to remove undocumented families in 2015 and 2016, according to PBS NewsHour.
Concerns over Due Process: Activists and organizations like the ACLU criticized the rapid deportation processes that denied many individuals their day in court, as detailed in this American Civil Liberties Union article.
Despite these protests, the Obama administration maintained that it was enforcing existing law, and at times, such as in 2013, stated that blanket, widespread, or broad executive action to halt all deportations for parents was not an option, as shown in this YouTube video from Noticias Telemundo.
No, people who voted Obama did not just blindly support his policies. His record of deporting is one of the statistics that led to most being disillusioned by his fake persona. But he didn’t do it in the loud, ostentatious way that’s currently being undertaken.

It’s not a crime to film law enforcement and it’s not a crime to help others who are, quite honestly, being assaulted (shoved to the ground and maced)
I have faith that my local law enforcement would not act in the same way that these untrained guys did.

And exactly how should they remove the illegal aliens, ask politely? They already did this and didn’t work. Even offered money to leave, didn’t work. So tell me, how are we to get them to leave other than by force?
Obama was the Deporter-in-Chief and we didn’t see citizens getting murdered, protests everywhere etc. they did it in a more quiet and understated way that still worked

It’s also possible that if he hadn’t FA with federal officers who had no reason to notice him he would not have FO that they have authority to be there and the citizens need to follow due process rather than resorting to vigilance
Every video I’ve seen he’s filming the ICE agents with his phone, and then tries to assist the two women after they’re maced to hell and back. I really don’t understand where the fricking around and impeding the agents comes from.

Looked like he was trying to help the woman on the ground (not clear on this, drag her to safety?) was swarmed on, beaten, disarmed, and shot. With both his hands on the ground. That’s just what I see with my own eyes play out in the video.
I guess you can say he shouldn’t have been filming the agents beforehand with his phone, or shouldn’t have helped the women after being maced, but neither of those seem like reasons to deserve death.

I think execution is a fair word for what played out today.
If the shooter was the same guy who was going hog wild with the mace beforehand, I’d say he’s probably got some power fantasies to work out.

I have seen a couple polls recently that do seem to show Independents moving towards disapproval of ICE (dem and repub don’t really matter because those opinions seem rather cemented in)
