A team sports win is gratifying it its own way.
However, something like the Masters just has to feel like you're the lord of all creation for a brief moment. Being a UFC champion or a F1/NASCAR/Indy 500 champion has to be similar.

Geography mattered more when SEC was dominating. Now it doesn't. That's an advantage for the Big 10.
Also, as always, we're taking the success of one team and applying it to the whole conference. It was done with Saban's Bama, and now we're doing it with these teams.
In reality, the Big 10 as a whole is no better than the SEC, but Indiana Football and Michigan hoops did masterful jobs using the portal to construct their rosters.
