I hate myself for knowing what everyone in this thread is talking about... cost of having a wife of a certain age i suppose.

That being said, Kyle got to hit it throughout her prime and now he's free from that depressing bitch. Good for him.

Oh, and yeah... like a screen door in a hurricane.

I really don’t see the point of having Skubal if he isn’t going to pitch in the knockouts. Should have let someone else have that spot.
As I said in my first post, I don’t agree with this decision.

My subsequent comments are about how I feel people grossly misuse the idea of what separation of church and state actually means. That is all.

Can we please keep church and state separate as the founding fathers intended and explicitly stated?

We don’t have an official state religion, like England, and neither entity is trying to control the other in any way. It is not an issue in this country.

People just love shouting out “separation of church and state” when they see something like a prayer at a football game. It has nothing to do with that.
On one hand, America was founded as a Christian nation and it bothers me how much many seem to try to distance us from it.

On the other hand, this isn’t being done for the right reasons or by the right person. It’ll only cause division and push people away from the message on those tablets.

Net negative.
For sure. Personally I keep it simple and only think about the long term.

If the two options are pay off your house or day trade... then yeah, pay off the house
Mid 30s. I completely lucked out with the sub 3% rates during covid so I don't pay any extra on my mortgage. It's tempting, but I keep only what I need in checking and money market while investing the rest.

As already stated, it only works if you actually do the investing.
I've seen a couple that add a pool to the backyard

This house doesn't actually have a pool, but it could!!

how do you find the time?

late night before bed instead of watching TV?

This is me. I probably should just go to sleep but I feel like I need that time to use my mind for something other than family and work.

If I read I can really lose myself in it where if I'm watching TV I'll spend half the time thinking of other stuff or find myself reading TD on my phone.

Book is the better option. A good movie is somewhere in the middle.
SIAP but if you wouldn’t want to pay 10 bucks to watch EVERY game, then you shouldn’t think it’s ok to pay 10 bucks for ANY game.

Everybody is tired of paying for new services and the price point to watch a college baseball game is a joke.

100%. As much as many of us despise constantly expanding playoffs, this is why they do it. And it ain't stopping.
ESPN succeeds at getting clicks yet again. I promise you whoever wrote that crap doesn't actually think Baker is in the same group as the 4 guys behind him.

Happy for JV, that's pretty cool. If he's got enough left to pitch like he did in the 2nd half, that could be a hell of a rotation.
There wasn't really a compelling storyline this year. You kind of need that when you strip away everything else that's normally cool about a football game. No home field advantage, no raucous crowd, plus you kill the momentum of the season with the off week.

It's just a sterile environment with a quiet crowd in a random city. It needs some juice, and this matchup didn't have it.

I don't know what it is, but I REALLY think he's gay. Might explain this seemingly odd choice. I mean, the dude could pull almost anyone if he really wanted to.
Remember XXX and XXXI better, but I know I watched this one.

The ad shows their roots in moonshining runs and many other “having fun and drinking beer” ways, it really was well done. One can only hope they start undoing some of the BS. They show families not dressed to like F1 high rollers. They are going back after the blue collar fan and family. Time will tell.

Between the marketing and the points change it does seem like a genuine effort to cater to traditional fans. Guess we'll see.

A black guy in a Larson shirt was interesting. The sport is healing

It's nice they at least put color back in but these all still suck compared to the 90s logos.
