Season 2 is coming out sometime this year. I need to do a rewatch to see if my feelings have changed regarding the twist.
The Odyssey
Disclosure Day
Project Hail Mary
Digger
Good luck, Have fun, Don’t die
Dune 3
Avengers Doomsday
Clayface
Werwulf
The Bride
The Drama
Flowervale Street
The Dog Stars
Godzilla Minus Zero

I’m sure there’s more

They’re really should’ve recast Black Panther. I understand wanting to be respectful but it’s caused a bit of a mess.

What do you want them to do? They can't force guys to sign and we can't outbid teams with unlimited money who are willing to pay over market value for guys like Texas is.

I want them to actually look and act like they have some semblance of a plan. Let’s not act like we’re only losing out to Texas at the moment. Yeah, the transfer portal is like the NFL free agency, most players are technically going to be overpaid, but let’s also not act like we’re a school looking for loose change.

We’ve seen the portal level up schools like Indiana, Miami, Ole Miss, etc. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for this staff to lock in and bring some talent in and it’s not too much for fans to have the same expectation.
I understand Bama isn’t always going to outbid a school like Oregon with Nike money or a Texas school with oil money but the response to the portal after the way our season ended has been disheartening. You have a top target on campus for the weekend and signs with Texas and then have someone enroll in classes here and still flip. I think we have seven commits and this includes a punter, a back up TE, and I think a long snapper. I was always going to give DeBoer three years and at this point he’s just hard to defend. Him and Morgan have dropped the ball.
I'm at the point where I'm ready to treat Minneapolis like Venezuela, it's getting way too ridiculous there and some order needs to be restored.
I could see them completing the story in season 2 and then getting a new cast but keeping the formula for season 3. I really like the show but it would be insane to keep having seasons that represent a single shift with the same people. There's only so much you can do.

I just picked up Apple Tv just for something different, is this show worth a watch? I ask because the comments in here seem kind of mixed.

If you're comfortable with a slow burn, then sur,e but if you end up enjoying the show, get ready to wait 2 years for the next season.

I thought it was a really good show but it was a bit too slow for me and to be honest, all the interest I had in the first episode or two vanished by the finale.

Vandy as a 2? Interesting.

Not after we beat that arse tonight

Speaking of Billy Bob, has any one watched the series "Goliath?"

Really good show but season to season is wildly inconsistent.

They are trying to make up for these guys being off the map for too long. Will it work? Eh maybe. It feels a little desperate but at least its an effort. Acknowledgment of their issues would be a first step. Hopefully this is proof of that.

That's where I'm at too. I don't really like the teasers but they are trying to hype people up by saying hey all the people that you loved are coming back, please give us another shot.
Nothing against you but I hate how much Moneyball is thrown around in sports discussion now.

Indiana is winning because they hired a great coach and in back to back years landed a top QB through the portal. They were also backed up by Curt taking the top talent from his JMU team to plug the immediate holes where he could and when he started winning, those checks got bigger and bigger from Indiana boosters.

The book goes into more detail but the movie basically just ignores that the A’s won with the top talent they still had on their roster. Teams that spend money, are still going to generally win. A lot of the teams that try and play the way the A’s did ended up flopping and most small market teams have to heavily rely on scouting and development anyways.

In 2025 now everyone has access to the same stats and metrics, Indiana didn’t just find some magic loophole. What they’ve accomplished has been very impressive, it’s just an opportunity that arises in today’s football world for a program that makes the correct decisions.
Late to the party but I'll throw some out there

Just watched it last night and was not very impressed. The acting itself is good but the story is disjointed

The most difficult part is that there are no “good” characters to root for. The ANTIFA crew are self absorbed terrorists and the government is well meaning but racist. I found myself not caring what happened in the movie because all the characters were so unlikeable

Pretty much how I felt as well. PTA did some incredible things here but I didn't like any of the characters and didn't really care what happened to them. I also thought, at its base, it's just a man on the run story that was a bit too disjointed.

Name them.

You have a very weird obsession with this show. It's to the level of social media bots defending someone like Swift or Sabrina Carpenter.

It's all subjective, but not everyone has to agree that it's a good show. It has definitely declined over time, and I don't know a single person, in real life, who has been pleased with the last season.
Could've taken a 45 minute nap in the middle, woke up, piece everything together that you missed and still be disappointed with that ending (even though it was bold.)

I’m going to say something that is going to get me downvoted to oblivion, and there’s no way I can say it without someone taking me wrong, so I’m just going to go ahead and say it. This program is never going to move forward until the memories of how Nicholas Lou Saban did things … and I’m not talking about his commitment to detail and excellence, those should be eternal, I am talking about stuff like his demeanor, etc., during practice and games … dissipates. We cannot afford to spend 40 years waiting perpetually for someone out of the Saban tree like we did waiting for someone out of the Bryant tree. There’s an element of our fan base who thought then and think now that will fix everything, but I thought then and think now that attitude reduces football to a cult of personality level and won’t work in this new era.

We were already in trouble when fans starting comparing the early Saban years to his last couple of teams, when the talk was all about penalties and “anxiety.”

People need to realize that every great coach has their own style and there isn’t a blueprint to winning it all and at the level Saban did, or else everyone would try the same thing. Of course we’ve wanted better since the retirement but there were cracks in the foundation even before that moment and I think the program is headed in a positive direction.
It's an oyster bar so definitely not as cool as the Deuce

Eddington
Warfare
Caught Stealing
F1
Bugonia
Phoenician Scheme
Black Bag
Train Dreams
Nouvelle Vague

I’m expecting Marty Surpreme to round out my top 10 but if not I would go 28 Years Later or Weapons.
Here’s the solution, just stop watching ESPN.

Looks like I’m adding Josh Pate to the list too, that dude went downhill big time this year.

Landman isnt prestige TV Its just a fun show with billy bob going around doing ridiculous stuff and dropping 1 liners. Same as tulsa king with Stallone. Enjoy it for what it is

Exactly. I’ve never seen so much complaining about a show that is just for entertainment, it’s not trying to chase awards. Just have fun or stop watching, the constant complaints every week about women, drive times, and whatever else not being totally accurate is just as annoying as the worst parts of the show.
