Why is he only a 2 star? Kid had great size, strength, very good speed, etc.

He is a 3-star on some recruiting sites.

Nice post LSu, but Max says he's small even though he's the same hgt/wgt as Steltz

He is a big kid, if he keeps on growing he is going to have a body of a linebacker. One of his family members told me they were examining Josh like a piece of meat. Chavis was surprised how big Josh was and they were very impressed in his size.

I am pretty sure Chavis wanted to see how he big he was before they pulled the trigger. Which now they scooped him up.

If you anyone has followed 5A High School football this year. Josh Johns was the captain of the Central High's Defense this year. They made it to the semifinals by strong defensive play. Josh blocked 2 Brother Martin's field goals one of those were 4 seconds left in the quarterfinal playoff. Destrahan barely beat Central in the semifinals and Josh Johns was playing both sides of the football that game. He played QB, WR and Safety.

The guy has alot of heart and was a stud in Louisiana 5A football. I feel confident in the type of players LA HS Football produces and I guess we will wait and see a few years from now after Chavis gets his hands on him what kind of player he will be.

I know the Johns Family. He got offered a scholarship and I think he will be one helluva a LSU Tiger. I dont appreciate hearing negatigers talking crap about a fine young man who I am hoping with hard work will be the next Craig Steltz. If you watch his highlights he shows qualities of a Craig Steltz type player. He and his family are such diehard LSU fans that he is willing to take a grayshirt to be part of this team. I remember many 2 star and 3 star recruits who turned out to be awesome LSU players.
