re: Free Agency news and rumors; tampering period opens March 9 (Etienne -> Saints?)

If you sign Etienne and draft one of the receivers at 8 this offense could be really dangerous next season

I can’t wait to see what Fears looks like in a few years. I think we’ve got a special one in him, he’s improving so fast

Love is going to be so good, I’m all in on picking him.

I think picking Love is a dumbass pick for example. Bijan Robinson is way more talented than he is, but what does Atlanta have to show for right now?
You could point to an example of a good player whose team hasn’t made the playoffs at almost any position. Jahmyr Gibbs got taken extremely high in the draft and has been the best offensive player for one of the best teams in the league for multiple years now.
I also don’t agree that Bijan is way more talented than Love. Either way Love is considered a better prospect than Gibbs was and we can see how he has panned out. We can also point to our head coach who won a Super Bowl just 2 years ago with an offense centered around Saquon Barkley. You think giving our young quarterback an elite back who can both improve the rushing attack and is a great pass catcher is a dumbass move?

every once in awhile you just take the best player on the board.
I agree with this, I just don’t think Styles will be the best player on the board. Most athletic maybe, but his production was good not great. If you are picking the best football player on the board then you should be picking Downs, Reese, Love, or Lemon. Taking an off ball linebacker at 8 because he had a great combine just doesn’t seem like a smart decision to me. I think Styles will be a good player, but not good enough to justify using the 8th pick on a relatively low value position.

Love, Tyson, Lemon, or Tate

I hope not, taking an off ball linebacker with the 8th pick would be a horrible decision. If Downs or Reese are there at 8 I’d consider it, but other than that go get an offensive playmaker.

Not sure what stats you’re looking at but that’s not correct. He has 33 made threes in his career including tonight. It is funny though that he made 4 threes in his first game and now 7 years in he only has 33 total

re: Javonte Williams contract is why Love should not be the pick at 8

Yeah I’m sure the Falcons wish they had signed Tony Pollard for $10 million in 2023 instead of drafting Bijan. If Love ends up being a Bijan/Gibbs/Saquon level player like he is expected to be then it would be a great pick. You get an elite playmaker for the prime years of his career instead of spending a good chunk of money on an aging back

Zion with zero at the half on two shots. That can’t happen

Trey lost the game tonight, not Borrego. He’s been playing great recently, but they are not going to win many games when he shoots 3-20.

I hate paying running backs when they’re the NFL’s version of a new car with rapidly diminishing value.
Crazy how most people on this board agree with this statement, but are wanting to go pay for a running back in free agency instead of drafting Love who is a Saquon/Bijan/Gibbs level prospect. Love would transform the offense. Drafting a game changer on offense and signing a decent edge rusher would improve the team much more than signing a decent FA running back and drafting the 2nd/3rd best edge rusher in the draft

The Bucks are 3-11 without Giannis and 15-15 with him this season. He greatly impacts winning and this news is huge for their pick that we own

Brutal game but on the bright side it’s nice to see Fears string together back to back good games after the rough stretch he was going through

I was not a Bain believer at all, but his last two games are making me come around. He has absolutely dominated and I would be very happy if we picked him

We’ve invested heavily in the offensive line through the draft for years now, and the defense has been playing at a high level since Chase Young got back. I’m all for drafting skill positions and would be excited for Love and a receiver in rounds 1 and 2.
Also we saw what Kellen Moore did with Saquon last year. I think he’d be really excited and could do some special things with Love

re: Would you trade for Joe Burrow?
Posted by Tigerjim09 on 12/11/25 at 9:35 pm to Safety Blitz
No, this Saints roster needs a lot of young talent, and trading for Burrow would cost us a fortune. We would essentially end up with Burrow surrounded by a roster that is bad and old with no picks to replenish the talent.
re: 2026 NFL mock draft: Yates' first-round pick predictions

Disagree that wide receiver isn't a premium position. Maybe 10 years ago it wasn't, but with how wide open the sport is today it has become one. Also having a true number 1 can be extremely helpful for a young QB. If you are able to draft an elite receiver then that makes Olave the number 2 and Vele the number 3. That offense would look a lot more dangerous than it does right now. I think Tyson, Tate, and Lemon are all big time prospects who I would be happy if we drafted.
