Dry Creek Outfitters. Highly recommend, owner/guides are outgoing throughout the entire stay and they scout/hunt hard. New lodge opened this year so price went up tremendously so bring your pocket book if you book with them but overall good experience.

All these camps stay in family/friend group for generations as you said. I know the names of one of owners that leases the land to owners down there is George Pivach out of Belle Chase. I know a few ppl with camps all the way down there & I lease from Pivach as well not far from marina. Camp on water is nice but as guy in here said, loading/unloading multiple times isn't a blast & also have to rely on generator/solar power for electricity/water. It can be work. Only one set of camps on water down there with power is on left of Pass A Loutre.
