Nancy can’t take the smoke.

Not surprising. The committee is amateur hour and Comer is even more of a mental midget.

This is clearly about China. I’m surprised that you didn’t connect those dots. You are usually one of the smarter lefties.

I am connecting the dots in the theory.

The issue is we cannot assume Iran is the same as animal as Venezuela. Not by a long shot. It’s just not a slam dunk.

We didn’t have the slightest clue what Iraq was going to do after Saddam was removed… And it showed.

Based on what you’re seeing in Iran today. It’s difficult to say that the number of people wanting regime change outnumbers those supporting the regime.

What gives anyone confidence that this will result in a benefit to the US vis-a-vis China?

So, you still don't have a clue that John Cornyn is bought-and-paid-for?

They both have baggage. Corporate interests vs proven criminal.

The criticism of Paxton is that he is bought and paid for by crime (greed, arrogance and disregard for laws).

Let alone the personal life baggage when compared to someone like Talarico, who would hold moral higher ground.

Try quoting what was actually said.

I absolutely quoted what was actually said by Rubio and Johnson in the earlier post. I listened to them speak.

Who is trying to spin it?
The criticism comes from the US admitting that Israel is forcing our hand.

The stated rationale for US involvement from our leaders is not about any imminent threats of Iran’s program.

Israel is riding the momentum from Oct.7 patriotism and felt like there was enough support now.

So Bibi convinced Trump to move all this support to the region over the past few weeks.
The arguments we heard from SOS Rubio and Speaker Johnson is:

“Israel was going to attack Iran, and Iran was going to retaliate against the US installations as a result”

“”So we had to take action to protect our assets in the area”

This was their own words.
Nobody’s trying to get blown up while the bombs are dropping.

It’s a brainiac school. Had no idea they had baseball players

This is true.
That’s true. Besides Lauren Boebert furking up the committee’s credibility by breaking the rules and posting photo of Hillary, no news at all. That was the only interesting thing that happened.

LSU got run ruled by Northwestern state last year. It’s baseball. Annoying to see? Yes? Sky falling? No

Of course it doesn’t mean anything. Nobody goes undefeated. Unless it was some pitcher that you were really expecting to dominate for yall…

Northeastern was a two-seed in the Tallahassee regional last year. They aren't exactly a scrub, but this has been an awful performance.

Oh wow…
This requires the assumption that Iran’s new leadership will have a different trade approach with China.

The proper way to view success or failure of this depends on what the new leadership of Iran ends up being.
So… it IS a war. Glad we got that all cleared up.

We’re not “at war” the Iran.

So why are semantics your primary focus?

Are you concerned that Congress has not declared war?

Everyone views Military Actions to destroy another country’s leadership and military infrastructure as acts of war.

Trump’s comments were also pushing for regime change, he called on the Iranian people to take control.
The CBS interview with Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei was very informative where Amodei very clearly expressed the situation and their perspective on the issues. He sounded like a patriotic American who understands our values as a free society.

Congress needs to get off their arse and understand how to create laws around AI.
I would think that Iranians, and the ME region is safer if the violent crazies were not in charge.
