re: Shreveport out of water?

"The city has activated its Emergency Operation Center, and Homeland Security officials are coordinating with water crews and emergency contractors. Arceneaux said contractors were mobilized early Sunday to begin preparing a temporary bypass around the damaged pipe.

That temporary fix will take several days. The city’s best estimate is that bypass work could be completed by Friday. Once water flow is rerouted, crews will be able to pump out the area around the break, assess the damage and perform a permanent repair. New valves will also be installed to make the system more resilient during future emergencies."

Marcello’s or Antoni’s for Italian and The Chimes or Burgersmith for a burger. This is from a Shreveport resident who’s made numerous trips to Lafayette the past 3 years since our daughter moved down there.

Folks may frown on Burgersmith, but when you can build your own burger, you’ve got no one to blame but yourself. Ate there 2 weeks ago on a Sunday…added blue cheese, bacon, caramelized onions and extra Smith sauce…pretty damn good. Their garlic butter French fries are legit. Lots of local restaurants are closed on Sunday’s there.
He's a tweener...Too small for linebacker and not fast enough to play safety. I'd be surprised if he's on an NFL roster for opening weekend and probably out of the league all together in 3-4 years. JMO

Anyone know where I can buy the Lesco Dimension online… doesn’t look like Home Depot or Lowe’s has it in my area and didn’t have any luck looking on Amazon‘s app?
Best fast food burger is the Whataburger patty melt. I hit the one on Bert Kouns here in Shreveport about once every other month and it’s money every time. It’s a meal in and of itself. I don’t even get fries with it.

The Wendy’s double baconator is damn good as well..don’t need fries with it either.

The ONLY thing I’ve ordered from McDonald’s over the last 25 years is a double cheeseburger.

Fries from McDonald’s or Wendy’s are both very good when fresh.

Is Lesco Stonewall or Dimension better as a pre-emergent granule?

re: Lawyer help in the Lafayette area…

Just got back from a birthday dinner for my oldest daughter. Hated to post and run, but I figured there’d be some good responses fairly quick.

Thanks for the feedback and sorry for not having more details, but the text I had gotten from my aunt was pretty vague. She just stated my cousin was having trouble with their insurance company and didn’t have time to fight them.

Lawyer help in the Lafayette area…

Posted by marcnbc on 1/31/26 at 4:21 pm
Have a cousin that lives in Lafayette whose house caught on fire a couple of weeks ago and it had significant damage. Happened in the early morning hours and they got out quickly and were ok, but lost pretty much everything including one of their dogs.

Said they are already having all kinds of trouble with the insurance company. Anyone recommend the best avenue for them to take or a law firm they should contact in the area?
