Do you know what a world war feels like?

No, I do not. But I'm pretty sure the people who lived through the last one were impacted by it and they knew it. I'm still going to work as usual, enjoying my weekends as usual, and only know about the war because I read about it on boards like this.
Do you know what it feels like?

Hate to admit it but in my opinion, Texas has the most iconic logo

Im a fan of the razorback. It's a unique mascot that stands out amongst all the eagles and tigers and bears and other boring mascots.

Already tried this with Liberia in the 1820s and only about 11,000 actually went back

If this land is all you've ever known, I can imagine thinking you can move there and thinking it will all go magically well. Good on them for at least trying.

Nope, just American. Your skin color has nothing to do with it.

Agree. It shouldn't.

An Independent is still separate from the Democratic Party....?

Yes. Lately, the Republican Party has put forth candidates that I feel represent me, but not so much that I’d call myself a republican.
This is great. It’s just so weird and sad that it is necessary. Good luck enforcing it.

Ive said on repeat. One day it will be white, black and brown together fighting against Islam. Its going to take us all.

As fractured as this country is, I don’t see white, black, and brown joining together to fight anyone.
quote:

You failed to answer the question "Why do you think it matters in 2026?"

I believe I articulated that earlier and don’t care to repeat myself. I suppose you don’t care for or disagree with my answer. We don’t have to agree. I doubt we’d ever see eye to eye, so we can end this now. I’ll move on to a lighter topic.

Those family members were impacted, but they are long gone.

It mattered when it happened. It doesnt matter now. Why do you think it matters in 2026?

Do you apply this same logic to those who died on 9/11? How about 95 OKC?How about 93 WTC? How about Pearl Harbor? When do their deaths and the impact not matter any more?
quote:

Absolutely nothing as far as I can tell.

Good bc I didn’t think I was, but was accused of it. Thx for confirming.
quote:

What do you mean by disregarding? Are we supposed to retroactively compensate and punish people who have been dead for 200 years before we're allowed to acknowledge and fix wrongs being done today? You're not really saying anything other than "I'm offended by your opinion."

Previous poster said murders from the past don’t matter. Only the ones today. That was disregarding. None of those people can be compensated for the loss..I know that. I suppose I’m offended by that response and I don’t think that’s irrational. I guess you do. Bottom line..we all wish this was a better world, but evil will continue to evil.
quote:

Start practicing what you preach and I’ll change my tune. It’s that simple. People like you don’t actually care about racism, bigotry, etc, so why should I? In fact, once you and your people are fully in power, I imagine your retribution will be much worse than any white man’s violence ever was

I’m obviously slow…what exactly am I preaching?
quote:

They don’t matter to now to people living today. Why does “time have changed” point bother you so much?

Those broken families were impacted.
Yes times changed. That doesn’t bother me. Disregarding what happened in the past and saying it doesn’t matter, bothers me. People should be better today, but they aren’t. Hopefully we can at least agree on that.
quote:

Some people commit an outsized portion of interracial violence. Against strangers. Some folks call it mental illness... I have my own opinions on it.

I don’t disagree about many murders committed. Where we disagree is that itt has always only been this one race. Maybe we can agree there. Maybe we won’t. I don’t see a need to go back and forth any more. We both have our own opinions.
quote:

Times have changed.

So… none of those murders matter bc they happened in a different generation? Many families were affected by those murders. But I get it… to you, only certain murders matter.
quote:

This dude is literally playing the slavery card.

So I guess there were no murders after 1865. As I said, you’ll be shocked.
quote:

But impulse control of acting on it seems to differ between races.

Yes, I agree. Grab a history book and read about what happened in this country to a certain race of people and was inflicted by a certain race. I’m expecting you’ll be shocked.

Emmet Till is taught to children. Name me a honky child killed by a brutha that gets the same treatment.

My comment wasn’t about emmet. It was about his generalization. I don’t care if you hate emmet or feel sorry for him. His life was taken and the ones who did it will be judged by the almighty God for that. I’m content with that because the world isn’t fair and never will be.

Nick Fuentes can tell you who's pushing this...

You’ll have to explain this joke to me. I don’t know who that is and don’t care to look him up.
