We definitely need to stop the Big 10 domination over the SEC in football.
Yep that is big. Curious to see our completed lineup.
Two Final 4s in the last 3 seasons. The only coach who has accomplished that.
Hard to see Lane not doing well there if they are going to spend that much on NIL and with him being a good offensive mind. If their O line is good as a unit he might have a chance to win the playoff this coming season.

I am worried about the O line - mainly tackles and possibly the QB situation after watching it. A lot of the better plays were easy stuff against overmatched defenders and I need to review who it was but the tackles got beat like they werent even there at least 3 times.
Mullen and Sharkguy both benefiitted big time by a down SEC East.

I do wonder how someone like Mullen would do in the SEC with NIL now as he hated recruiting apparently.
lol... I am a realist about what I saw but Philo doesnt look as bad as Lagway last season. Jones sacking himself was pretty bad also.

I do think we are going to have trouble though if the offensive Tackles and QB play isnt squared away by week 3. One thing about Sumrall unlike what forner coaches pulled is he wont hesitate to make a change at QB even if he thinks the other one is just a slight upgrade possibly.
Its just a spring scrimmage dont look too much into that. Bama is poised to have the top SEC rushing attack in 2026 just like they did many of those Saban years.
Bamas O line will certainly be road graders this year unlike last season. Stop listening to the negative posters. There is no issue with Bamas run blocking going into the 2026 season.

Sorry but I blew sunshine with Napier last season until that was shown to be a complete joke again. I do like this coach though and knows he wants to win at all costs but that O line and QB situation has me nervous if they dont get things corrected. Everything else i lhink we can compete with most teams in the SEC but those are 2 big things that need some real work apparently.
The mess on offense did look pretty bad at times. After years of this I say it when I see it especially in a setup like that where things are usually easier. We saw the results pumping sunshine about it previous years.I think we at least have a coach who hates seeing it himself unlike the last couple of them which is good.
I watched at least 3 times a Tackle totally whiffed on pass blocking. Not sure which players it was though. Our offense looked a lot better in the 25 spring game but we saw what happened during the season so maybe this will be the reverse if we are lucky.
Damn I hope it isnt that bad. If Philo isnt better than Jones we will be lucky to even have an average SEC startìng QB then if my thinking on Jones is accurate. An average SEC starting QB actually is pretty good if he is better than 8 of the other SEC starters.
I was expecting 8-4 but not so sure if this O line and QB situation doesnt improve a bunch. I think everywhere else we are pretty good. The Tackles and QB position scare me looking at the Spring game. Glad we open with 2 weak opponents to keep working on that.

Yep they can fool you sometimes like ours last season where we thought the offense was ready to go. Maybe its good getting a reality check like this.
Yep hopefully they can correct some of this before the season starts.

Gators Spring game observations...

I just watched this mess. Holy crap the offense has some improving to do. Just a few things I saw passively watching it.

Philo thew a bad interception Anthony Richardson against GA style where he didnt have nearly enough height under the ball with where that defender was.

Jones literally sacked himself with no defender even that close to him.

The center put the ball on the ground by bouncing it off his butt on his snap attempt.

I saw at least 3 passing plays where a tackle gave no resistance at all. The end literally ran right past them just like what was happening with our tackle in the A&M game this past season.

The only good looking drive was the hurry up at the end where Jones hit like a 40 yard TD but even that play the WR literally ran past the safety like he was in slow motion or something.and he was wide open.

O line and QB has me pretty nervous now.

Not sure. One article said he played 12 games the freshman season but I haven't seen what his argument is for being given a waiver for that year.
Aberdeen is coming back to the Gators if the NCAA will grant his waiver.
