Years ago out West I knew a biker named 'Flat Black'.
Flat would order pitchers of beer and no mug. It was nothing for him to drink 8-10 pitchers in a sitting.
He got 11 DUIs on his motorcycle in one year. They started watching for him at the bar he hung out at. They would nail him a block out of the parking lot.
They dropped 5 years on him for his troubles.

Although he was not young when it happened. One of the most heartbreaking things my wife ever experienced was her father asking her, "who are you?"
She was his caretaker the last 2 years of his life. Luckily for him, he was taken out by a failed surgery before he got much worse.

I always loved my kids more than life itself.
