Great update. Best quotes:

- We hit 2,000 targets in the first 100 hours.

- "In simple terms, we're focused on shooting the things that can shoot at us."

- Praised American soldiers for their relentless lethality, conviction, and professionalism

- At this point, Iran's capabilities are weakening as ours our still building.

Fixed it baw.

BREAKING: Lindsey Graham just said there are MASSIVE waves of attacks that are ready to be unleashed on Iran.

Ms. Lindsey probably doesn't know anything too special, but he should still shut his fat mouth. Such a camera whore.

Yep, some of the AI-related layoffs are going to feed this. Sucks for folks who are stuck and then got laid off.

Is TX any better than CA at thos point

Valid question for the big cities.

This is due to the Wren Collective, an unelected advisory group that requires certain cities to send all police shootings to the DA (progressive cities with progressive DAs)

That is nuts. How does an unelected advisory group require anything?

Travis County needs a new DA. Or maybe this is what they really want?

Partnership is a two-way street. Entitled jackasses. Maybe Vlad will be a better "partner" for them.

Not sure I believe him, but that's the best way to spin it regardless. Doesn't matter now. Just hoping we can dismantle the regime and turn the ground game over to regional partners sooner rather than later. Still grinding my teeth that at least some US ground footprint will probably be a necessity at this point. Hopefully temporary...

Spanish wine about to get pretty pricey

Sucks for them. Can't think of a reason to care. There's equal or better wine cheaper from all over the world.
SECDEF ain't wrong. Dark days ahead for the UK.
That dude's lamb chops are magnificent.

Man I remember that!

I had forgotten, but the refresher made me chuckle all over again.

I had a chuckle myself thinking about the Monday morning huddle between the armored cigarette boat skippers. You know those dudes all bolted. Harassing unprotected tankers is one thing. Between the predator drones, attack helicopters, and whatever else we have floating in the Persian Gulf, how many seconds would their little Miami Vice runs last before getting smoked?

Do you think that Paxton will perform better against a Democrat should he win the primary?

My .02: Paxton vs Crockett will not be close. I think Paxton beats the other dem, too, but it will be closer.

Cornyn is another of the old gilded dinosaurs who's been in DC for too long. Time to send him home.

So, do they have a few canoes and some prop planes left now?

A few years back they were harassing British ships with what looked like armored cigarette boats. They may still have those tucked in a marina somewhere.
I got a smoothie from Smoothie King once in the late 90s or early 00s. Tasted like an overpriced ICEE from Circle K. Never went back.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.

I’d like any defender of the UN to name the last time it actually accomplished anything that wasn’t overwhelmingly a function of US strength and resources.

Going a step further, many of the "missions" they took on outside of US oversight were absolute disasters where the UN "peacekeepers" committed war crimes and did all kinds of awful things.

And how many times has the US turned a blind eye to charter member states' transgressions simply because said member wouldn't allow a vote?

The recent decades have taught us that the UN model is a complete sham. As you put it, these ideas look great on paper but end up being incredibly naive when implemented.

It's a flawed model because superpowers only respect legit military power and those who will use it.

Did I vote for continued long term occupation with boots on the ground in the Middle East in perpetuity? If that’s what you mean by “war” then no, I was opposed to that when I voted.

Am I opposed to dropping in, getting shite done and bouncing like we have done in Venezuela and appear likely to do in Iran? No I don’t mind that. If anything, it shows the world we aren’t to be fricked with under DJT.

I'm in this boat. Iran is a much, much riskier proposition, and there will be a ton of push for some form of occupation "to support the Israelis" or "prevent a worse leader from emerging" or to "prevent chaos" or whatever.

But that is a trap, as are all large-scale ground operations in the ME. I hope Trump can avoid falling into it.

The ME will always be characterized by chaos and bronze-age religious fanaticism. For decades now, I've heard about the strong and enlightened Persian people who are ready to rebuild their society into what it was pre-Islamic revoluion. Now's the time to step up. If they don't and another whacko Imam takes over, we may just have to swoop in there every few years and blow up their nuclear aspirations.

I would take either of those options over another 20+ year waste of American lives and capital into another ME sinkhole. We can't afford to do that again.

Business owner

Bingo. Use all the AI coming out to start whatever business you want to be in. Don't run from the automation, be the one selling it or its outputs. I'm telling my kids to work in the trenches of whatever field now while they can work cheap. Learn a business inside and out. Then figure out how to automate and outperform the competition.

ETA that we're also requiring at least some college-level courses. At least and Associates degree related to basic business mgt or whatever field they choose.

It's for Israel, not us. Iran wants to destroy Israel and we can allow that to happen. It's as simple as that.

ETA: meanwhile China is sitting on the sidelines hoping the U.S. goes all in depleting our armaments in a regime change war in Iran, therefore minimizing U.S. led Taiwan defenses against China.

Taiwan is A LOT more important to the U.S. in terms of international trade than regime change in Iran.

Do you mean the optics drill / diplomacy dog-and-pony-show VolinBavaria mentioned is for Israel's sake, to give them cover?

Does anyone really think that Iran can square off with Israel toe-to-toe and survive?

I'm all for keeping our powder dry for China. So why not let Israel defend themselves with the massive resources we provide? I thought that was the point of having a proxy in the ME?

Everything in that part of the world is quicksand. We need to be as hands off as possible. Show up every few years and drop some bombs if need be, but everything else is a damned fool's errand.
