Well- we are not ole miss so add one to the plus column

LSU's favorite time of year. Well, it was...

You joke - but this sucks!!! And it’s actually worse than losing hope in a football season. At least there your pain and disappointment is swift. This baseball disappointment is a slow bloodletting - that still dangles some speck of hope things can turn around.
Watch - since we got swept this wknd - we will somehow screw up and show life against Aggies - just to drag the death denial on a little longer

Didn’t the old veterans stadium in Phil have like a sure enough central lockup somewhere in the stadium? Seems like I rem hearing of seeing something about that - like in the 80s or something - every Sunday it’s was pretty active
Sec baseball this year is looking like football - everybody beating up on each other (well - admittedly - not everybody…)

I have not watched any teams outside the conf that much if at all. Specifically UCLA- are they legit?
I mean you have to cut us some slack on expectations, last time we took a former ole miss coach- we won a national championship, and that was one that was fired. So you can imagine the excitement around one who yall desperately tried to keep….

We had a former HC who won an Nc leave and end up at a divisional foe only to go on a historic run….. I’m sure we will figure out what to do

All the above said, we are out of pitching. Should be a high-scoring game

Yeah- that usually happens to us on Friday - around the 5th inning

Let’s be honest … we’d all be bitching if he left a pitcher in too long.

Ha! No kidding!

I assume of course like what others have said - johnson trying things out, who works best in what situations, who can handle what and so on. Guess my biggest concerns is when do you get to the point of running out of games trying to find the right mix - and it negatively impacting your post season plans? Just doesn’t seem like we are seeing anyone really start to show any dependable consistency.

But shite - how spoiled were we from last year - going into every sec series you knew you had damn near a guarantee to win games 1 & 2?

And I’ll admit it - I’m spoiled and selfish, damnit- I want the late spring excitement of the run for Omaha. I want the feeling of confidence that they damn sure could be there - should be there. I depend on it to lesson the lull until football - and damnit it’s fun!

What they apparently do have is someone or some people who have an incredible eye for underrated talent that will fit like a glove. Clearly they also have some really good coaches, starting at the top.

Seems to be a large part of it - cignetti and co being a very good at player analysis. They are a very well disciplined, and precise. Id be willing to bet a phrase like “run it again!” Is heard often in their practice. He seems like a very technical type guy - like every single player doing everything exactly right every single play - and practicing towards that.

They almost seem like the whole moneyball Oakland A’s deal.

I will say how the game was handled by the refs was awful. We’ve all discussed it here but college football has a ton of money involved. Full time, educated refs are needed now. Too many awful calls and no calls.

I agree - it’s starting to get really bad. Almost to the degree where you can trully sense they are calling the game due to the flow of the game - the situation and not objectively, Like it’s a video game and you can pick the option to make it competitive - so when one team is pulling away the computer starts making shite happen to keep it close.

Same thing happened to my boy from Neville, can’t recall if it was ‘91 or ‘92. Wide right as well. Bless it.

Was 92’- missed extra point in OT

Neville lost the year before in OT as well

re: So the LSU AD says no Saban

I mean realistically many of us really knew this was bs - well maybe not exactly many - but more than a handful, But damn- wish it would have lingered longer - takes away the fun when insane rumors die quickly.

And yall keep joking we will get jimbo- don’t be shocked if we end up with frank wilson.

No wonder LSU ranks 169th in the nation when it comes to academics...no way Saban is coming out of retirement to coach again but LSU fans and that great intellect think otherwise.

Maybe he is coming to teach or run dept of edu?

Rumor is that there could be a turd floater in Baton Rouge at the time of the game. If that's the case, I like TAMU's run game better than LSU's.

This is bullshite! You can’t like the Aggie run game better than lsu’s because we don’t have a run game. So by default you have to like the Aggie run game.

I actually feel for Ole Miss. They are in the thick of the CFP/SECCG hunt. This is exactly the kind of distraction that caused Liberty to come apart at the seams in 2022. We were at 8–1 at the time and proceeded to lose the final three regular season games and our bowl game.

As much as I hate ole miss - have to agree - never fails - some team on the cusp - and mid season they have to contend with rumors and keeping focus.

Reminds me of the miles to Michigan fiasco - of course we were disappointed that he stayed as opposed to leaving.

Unbelievable comeback by Ruston.

Really was - sadly reminded me of a couple miles era lsu/bama games in BR- lsu winning most of game only to blink and lose it in the end. Dejected home crowd silently walking out - as visiting band playing and fans that traveled all celebrating -

Regardless of who you were going for - was a great high school game -

On a side note - for me on the high school level - you feel for the kids who lost, and you can’t help but feel a little twinge of happiness for the kids who won- key word is kids. But you have grown men bitching about a kids performance like they are on scholarship or getting nil money. Tough to stomach hearing some fat old slug dogging some 16 year old kid….

Another battle. Ruston pulls away in the 4th. Ruston by 7

Well- you made a hell of a prediction. Neville up by 17 with 7 mins or so to go in Q4, Ruston scores 21 in those final minutes - unbelievable. Neville also failed to recover an onside kick for 3rd time this season- second time aiding in a loss. This was about the same for them as the STM game, winning 3 1/2 quarters - and losing it in last half of 4th.

Hell of a game - especially for 100th meeting between the two. Good clean physical game- not too many penalties on either side.

No two ways about it - things were not going well at all for stm in first half - looked at times NHS had chance to take em out of it - second half - stm made significant adjustments and executed - hats off to those kids- tough well coached team and obviously never gave up

Texas is the destroyer of worlds and will eventually destroy the SEC. It's what they do. OU is just their little bitch that acts like they are rivals but 364 days a year they are licking the spot where Bevo's nuts were cut off to make it a steer.

The tea sips just irk me - the damn near elitist attitude while situated in fricking Austin - the Ellis island for CA transplants. Look I mean - I know Baton Rouge mirrors downtown beruit - but at least I ain’t gotta worry about some hippie dropping a deuce and a hobo yanking his pod while I’m being held up at gun point.

OU - yeah big time, blue blood - and all that but just pure blandness - in league with Missouri on that - just boring no southern charm, style or insanity.

Aggies- shite, I’ll pick on em all day long - but still give em credit for how they gave a big frick you to the tea sips when they joined the sec.
