Watch the replay on YouTube at .25 speed. It was the right call because Brooks never did secure it even though I thought otherwise last night.

I believe this LSU team matches up better with Georgia than Tennessee. No defense has figured out a way to slow down the Vols and out scoring them hasn’t worked for anyone. But I will say, House wouldn’t surprise me if he came up with something that works.

Fans, groupies. Same thing. Of course I do, that is why they are fans.
Pete is just waiting on Sean to pick his next job so he can go back and get that cushy OC job under him.

I think he could be a good pro

Bryce Young is what I would imagine if Drew Brees and Jacob Blake had a baby. Drew Brees size and mind with a stronger arm, more athletic and darker tan. If Young is on the board when the Saints pick, I’m gonna be screaming at Goodell on the tv “say his name!. Say his name!”
I was impressed with his arm strength with his size.
I’ve laughed at a lot of things today but that is perfect in every way.
Wemby in OKC would be interesting to watch. They could damn near start like 5 guys that are 7’0 and above without anyone playing out of position. Lol.
I can’t wait to see when Zion goes to dunk on Chet Holmgren next year. That would be grotesque but it’s something I need to see bc of the physics. Or Wemby dunking on him since he is gonna be a Pel also would be cool.
I thought they would win a few in the mid season Tourny? Is it flappening this season?

Miami was his #1 choice and I don't know if he even really interviewed anywhere else (certainly didn't here). So that offer would have needed to be a "horse head" offer.

I agree but I really fell for the hype when he first started getting hyped up. I was also impressed he had Tua healthy and looking like a real NFL QB.

I meant he had him looking good when he was still alive.

I haven’t watched them too much lately. I was wondering if he was gonna use Tyreek Hill in that Deebo Samuels role. I thought that would be lethal but with a decent QB. I wasn’t sold on Tua after hearing Sean Payton talk about him on Cowherd. I do remember Sean saying he expects Teddy to be starter at some point, whether by injury or by being a better QB than Tua was at the time. Sean definitely wasn’t confident in his ability to be a good franchise QB. That’s how I took it. Maybe I’m wrong.

Outside of an abysmal .300 win %, the Lions players hated Matt Patricia

I made a poor attempt at humor. Sounded funnier in my head though.

ETA: and for the fact he has been on the defensive side of the ball pretty much his whole coaching career except for this year when he is suddenly an Offensive Analyst that may actually be the guy calling plays.

I think we've found the oldest poster on TD. You must be at least 120 years old.

I laughed out loud for real especially because the exaggeration was so over the top funny. I read the quote over and I again lost it even more when I realized that wasn’t a joke you were making, just an honest observation from you. That makes it even funnier to me for some reason. Lol
Matt Patricia. If Bill Belichick hires you to be his OC then you hire that guy fast. Except for Josh McDaniel. But Matt Patricia is what I think of when I see the word offense. Have to check his previous jobs at OC before I can show the proof of his ability coaching up offenses like Joe Brady at LSU. Be right back with stats!
I think the Cards and the Broncos would be very enticing to Sean Payton. I personally feel like Denver is the perfect fit with the rumors Russell Wilson was considering the Saints at one point. It’s possible they could both finish with top 5 picks with their 2 current coaches. A first rounder for Sean could be our future QB Young or Stroud. I prefer Young though by a good bit.
Houston is the one team I think is going to be the favorite to be picking first though. They will be grabbing one of the QBs.
I could see Payton liking Murray also.

I just hope it’s not Dallas because I don’t see them picking early enough to be where a franchise QB is still on the board.
If things fall just right, Bryce Young could be in play!

That’s all I got. We fuuucked. Future not looking bright without a miracle.

Should’ve offered whatever McDanial wanted and more instead of losing him to Miami while getting stuck with a retread that failed his first stint as HC. Dennis Allen has had a few good years as DC but never was a high profile DC.
With Sean retiring, Saints should’ve cleaned house because Sean was the alpha. Promoting a follower of Sean Payton was just wishful thinking by the FO to think Allen would automatically become the alpha with a promotion.
Carmichael didn’t even want to be the OC without Payton holding his hands.

Payton is not going to any team with a shitty QB.

Well that is why he took the year off. Obviously. He is using this off year to talk Lamar Jackson in to signing with him and the Saints.
Lamar Jackson, Taysom Hill and then draft Anthony Richardson. Sean gonna be running all kinds of crazy arse plays.
The Saint’s offense is built for running the ball, short passing and avoiding turnovers.
Personally, I prefer seeing Kamara running and catching balls out of the backfield. Taysom getting his short yardage packages mixed in with short passes that move the sticks with hopefully our top receivers back.
Winston struggles with the short to intermediate throws.
Andy managed the game perfect and let the playmakers that we had left do their jobs. He had one bad pass.
Kamara’s fumble was more impactful than the Dalton INT.
Tre’Quan hurt Dalton’s stat line bad.

I take Dalton’s managing style over Winston’s “being the star” style.
Would have loved to know what Tyrann Mathieu’s were his first 2 years at LSU.
They had those same players and formation during the New Mexico game in goaline.

With the fans, I should’ve clarified. But I do think Kelly plans to roll with both like he did at Notre Dame. That’s if Nuss can play like he did tonight.

re: nuss was fantastic

Tonight he had the chance to play with the starters and it showed how relaxed and calm he was compared to the Southern game.

Daniels but up great stats against a very bad Southern team and I personally believe Nuss came in pressing too much going for big plays. He was too amped up and he tried to do too much. Tonight was a better barometer since he was playing with mostly starters. We got the chance to see what he could do tonight and he passed with flying colors.

The only bad thing about that is the QB controversy that will now be more heated than ever.

I think we see the Brian Kelly staple of playing two QB’s every game. Especially if Daniels struggles to put points on the board. Nuss will come in and play if he can get points.

I also see a scenario where Kelly game plans to rotate every few series in tight games if both are playing well.

Will be hard to keep Nuss off the field but Daniels is better than most think and moves the chains well. He has the edge in experience, he just lacks the big play ability with his arm. But his legs are huge weapons on 3rd downs.

Gonna be interesting how this season plays out. I just don’t want to lose Nuss or Howard to the portal. It’s a tricky situation.

A couple of pounds, ok, you had a hard weight cut and couldn't quite get there. Eight pounds, you didn't even try to make weight and are basically telling Diaz, Dana, and the UFC to frick off.

Li is the real badass in this situation. He agreed to fight Rodriguez who weighs 9 lbs more than him after losing the opportunity to fight a legend in Ferguson from the fallout of Khamzat’s unprofessionalism.

I loved Khamzat and hated Costa like most fans before this week. Both have completely went the complete opposite direction in most fans eyes, like myself.

I really wanted the Khamzat hype train to keep rolling and was interested how he would do with someone like Usman or Adesanya in either class. But the pairing with Nate was ridiculous. Dana really wanted Nate to get embarrassed. Now I’m pulling hard for Kevin Holland because I love that guy and it’s great seeing him get some more exposure. He will be everyone’s hero in the streets and in the octagon.

I still think Khamzat wins and if he does, I hope Costa gets to test Chimaev’s chin next.
But something seems very off with Chimaev from his usual crazy man antics and I don’t thinks it’s the weight cut effects. Seems like confidence issues or something until the weigh in with Holland. Maybe being hated motivates him more than being loved does.

No way would I bet on either Co-Main event fights.

Dude was in the same class as Devin White, DK Metcalf and Nick Bosa. Jalen Hurts too.

I got curious about who all he has been teammates with at LSU. The guy payed with Tre’Davious White and Fournette among others.

He had two teammates at LSU that were class of 2012 recruits. Dwayne Thomas and Corey Thompson. Lindsey and Thompson have 13 combined years of playing CFB.
I don’t disagree but this exact thread and subject gets posted damn near hourly.

I actually thought it was a Wisconsin school just because they have a U and a W in their initials. Glad I didn’t pretend like I knew about them.
I’m sure most here already knew this but saw this while looking up stats. On his 5th school.

2. Lindsey Scott Jr. | UIW

quote:

In his first start at UIW, Lindsey Scott Jr. went 17-25 passing (68 percent) for 391 yards and six touchdowns, adding in 23 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown on seven attempts. Scott did this against a team ranked No. 9 in the country.

Scott's dominating performance came after a weather delay and a delay when the stadium lights went out. No matter what adversity Scott faced, he prevailed in dominating fashion.

It’s not your fault that you were born too late.
Blame it all on your roots…
The timing of reading this incredibly brave young man has shaken me to my core. I’ve been searching for the right professional help for my mental illness and have not had any real luck for over 20 years. Always too ashamed to admit to my general practitioner that I have had suicidal thoughts and one suicide attempt. I’ve never told anyone. Found God after that attempt but my mind still loses all hope at times and tonight was one of them. The mind is scary.

I literally texted my ex-wife and mother of my child right before seeing this the longest text I’ve ever typed that was an obvious cry for help with no attempt at being subtle. I had no one else I could think of and I’m scared too death of my mind when I’m going through these severe episodes. Sent it to her in the middle of the night which is fricked up for me to do to her. I just pretty much woke her up and dumped it in her lap and asked to help me fix my head before I do anything stupid bc I’m too exhausted to keep fighting this illness alone.

But Harry Miller putting this out there for all to see gives me hope for another morning to come. I’m about to call that number even though I should be trying to sleep.

Thanks for posting this buckeye_vol.
