I hope this is not true!! Rousse is a great guy but he is from a schoold that has a fourth of LSU's enrollment and probably a tenth of LSU's total athletic budget. This guy would be in way over his head! This would be a step backwards!!!!!

He's an ok guy but why would LSU, the premier institution in Louisiana, hire a president from a regional university. Nothing against McNeese but youre talking about a pick up truck compared to a Mercedes.

If contracts are made through the Board of Supervisors, wouldn't that make it through the state of Louisiana. If that is true, then the taxpayers would be on the hook for payment. Or does TAF pay contract?

He's 50/50 in coaching hires. 50% wouldn't fly in any other job in the world. Imagine going to a surgeon who has a 50% success rate!!

Agree 100% that Landry needs to stay out of LSU athletics, but so does Ryan Clark. Woodward has had 50% success rate. Any other profession, that would not fly. Selection needs to be done by committee!

SEC has won 3 NC's since 2000. ACC has won 7 NC's in same time frame. competition is better in ACC. Wade made a great move!!

this is the 21st century Everything is on social media. The players at McNeese aren't clueless. They know that Wade was being courted by bigger schools and NC State wasn't about to let their choice for new HC get scooped up by another school. He was up front about talking to NC State.

Definitely an elite athlete but his NFL success remains to be seen. The speed in the NFL at every position is significantly better than college. Hopefully he can sit 2-3 years before being thrown in the trenches.

Absolutely great game. JD is a phenomenal athlete but that doesn't always translate into a good QB1! Let's see if this qb play is a pattern or just one game before we bestow the Heisman!

Agree 100%! Does not have a great track record while at ND of QBs that were that great. The dual threat QB is a novelty and needs to be done with! I'll take Brady, Manning, Brees, Aikman, Montana any day of the week!

I don't think BK is the coach that Woodard was hoping he was. You have a team with 4 and 5 star athletes and you say they are not the team you thought were!! Coach, go look in a mirror!!

Pretty high praise! Hope he does win it! Unfortunately I'm a realist. He's listed at 9 or 10 by Sports Illustrated and most other publications. Don't care TBH. I just hope he matures and improves his field vision and downfield accuracy.

I believe this is a fair ranking. JD unfortunately was in bottom 50 in most NCAA categories. Hes gonna have to improve his downfield passing and his 2-3 receiver options. Until then his 1-9 yard passing will continue. Excellent athlete but average QB!

Maybe he can work on his 2 yard passes instead of his 1 yard passes. Would be a 100% improvement! LSU will NOT compete for a national title! 9-3 at best

Slow down!!! Per NCAA stats, Passing Efficiency 40th, passing TDs below 50th, passing yds 43rd, yds/game below 50th, yds/completion below 50th, and last but not least yds per pass attempt below 50th!!!!!

Agree! In the end, its every kids dream to be a nfl player and Howard had to do what is best for him. He had two qualified QBs in front of him. Wish him the very best! Not so sure he didn't leave because of BK
