Not sure what he'll do next season, but I don't want him to give up on the portal.
Without the portal, I'm not sure we win the CWS in '23 or '25. It brought us Skenes, Tanks, Eyenson, and Dickinson, along with Jump and Holman who deserved more offense.
Hindsight is 20/20, but when these portal players were signed, we were excited and felt they were good additions. Sure, they let us down this year and the guys they replaced have had success elsewhere. It was a bad turnout, but that doesn't mean JJ should abandon the portal. I don't think our returning position players will be enough next season.

With this offense, not if we give up more than 3 runs... which is tough with a midweek staff.

Couldn't imagine having no football natties since desegregation.
I actually think our pitching is decent. Losing Moore hasn't helped, but pitching has mostly been good on weekends and done its job to keep us in games... midweek performances are another issue.
A lot of high scoring games for our opponents came from errors.
Defense has been horrible and, IMO, this is the worst offensive group I've seen at LSU.

C'mon man, I was trying to toot Ole Miss' horn a little bit with them being on LSU's level and all... but it didn't go the way I expected when I checked a few facts.
It's a good thing we had Skenes and Anderson in 2023 and 2025.
