re: Why Ford can't get mechanics

The real reason is pay and benefits. An average Ford assembly line worker makes more money and has a better benefit package than a dealership mechanic.

AI doctors and surgeons to the rescue. While my dad was in his last year of life he spent quite a bit of time in the hospital. Most of the doctors were nice enough, the nurses were a different story. Most of the time if there was a problem it was some butch lesbian that was obviously mentally unstable. It was never the older nurses either.
"The only retail traders making money are the ones who stopped trading."
Ridiculous, plenty of traders making far more than the average salary

Just like the population in general, economist have a bias. Most of them spent at least 4 years in a glorified indoctrination camp. If any economist disagrees with the premise that economic prosperity follows economic freedom then they are indoctrinated economist.
re: What are lefties telling each other about ICE?

All I got is TikTok is full of the loons that are certain ICE has no authority to arrest or detain citizens. They have been brainwashed into believing that they can obstruct ICE without being arrested unless local police get involved

I thought she would be on the view today demanding justice for the children
In this information age there's no need for the number of teachers on the government payroll. Cut teacher numbers by 75% bring in ai assistants and watch test scores increase while the crazies can collect more cats or something.
Things like car rentals require a credit card. Using one and paying balance off every month has some nice perks on some cards. Basically Chase pays me for using their card.

No idea if he broke the law or not. I do know that an entity as powerful as the Fed should never be immune from scrutiny.

Title of Yahoo Finance story

When I see yahoo finance articles with "not a good idea to go after the fed" in the title. I believe it's time to at least take a look inside.

True, for years I ate first thing in the morning and steadily added weight. Now I eat just one good meal a day.
How long does it take for a surgeon from the point of entering college to making enough money for the tuition to be a good return on investment? I don’t know exactly but assume it would be at minimum a decade
All I’m saying is brushing off the possibility of Robots performing autonomous surgery isn’t some sci-fi fantasy as many believe. Especially when you take into account the advances made pre AI. If someone had suggested that in 1995 by the year 2010 it would be possible to essentially carry the sum of all human knowledge in your pocket most would have laughed.
Dexterity has also advanced
Not when you take into account the progress of computing in general and much more important is the advancement of vision systems
I’ve worked in automation and robotics for over 40 years. I’ve personally witnessed robotic tig welders that could perform welds in minutes that would take a human all day. They do it with better quality as well. These robots were cutting edge 15 years ago. Now they are obsolete.
