This was a must get and Lane cones through as always. Even if we don’t land Seaton we have a solid looking OL.
Yeah I’d love Seaton but we really would change the entire OL if we land someone Bah. He’s a low key huge want that would bring toughness back to the interior OL.
Now get the Maryland LG and ket Miller and Solomon Thomas fight it out for RG. Ideally we land Seaton so Sean Thompkins can be the backup LT and Strey could backup Davis or even push him for playing time. Thompkins could also switch over to RT if we land Seaton. Man Lane is working the portal masterfully.
Perfect swing tackle that can play LT if Seaton goes elsewhere. I want Bah badly. We need an experienced interior OL that is a physical road grader.

re: Buddy Mathis to Auburn

He’s a good player and a loss that stings but we have some real talent to soften the blow. We will be fine and Mathis will start immediately at 3-tech for Auburn.
Ole Miss tears are so yummy!
You don’t let him make those other visits. Strike while the iron is hot with a strong package under $1 million and get your plug and play RG to play next to Moore. 2 veteran starters will help Weston Davis at RT. I truly believe with better coaching like Weston will get that he could make a big step forward this coming season. Hopefully they can get Seaton or the Baylor LT and LG could be a wide open competition. Solomon Thomas is still lurking, he could be a breakout player.
He would cost Moo State pretty much all their budget. Not happening.
Oh this is going to be so much fun. Chaos. Pure, beautiful chaos!
I just feel like Texas or Texas Tech is going to make the price on him ridiculous and we probably stop in the $3.5-$4 million range but the Texas schools can go to $5+ without blinking. Man he’d be a damn big pickup but we need to close on the Baylor LT even if he’s just a swing tackle we need guys who have snaps at LT. He qualifies and would cost maybe $750K.
Taysom Hill-like gadget player that can play FB/RB too. Lane will have fun scheming plays for a guy like this. Also gives us 1 more body at TE.

If he’s dirt cheap and knows he has to compete to see the field. His 5 stars mean shite now.

He’d be a solid addition if he can be gad for around $750K. It would give LSU a plug and play RG and would lessen your reliance on Solomon Thomas. Hopefully he can become a starter as well but we need 2 more starting OL, one a LT and the other an interior lineman. As far as depth I’d think 1-2 more OL beyond the starter options would restock the position group.
Wish him luck. Instincts are lacking but athleticism is not.

re: If BK and AT spent $18m last year

I believe the war chest for this year was said to be in the $33-$37 million range and we will end up using over 90% of it to land this class.
While guys are open standing there with their hands up wanting the ball. I truly think Poole thinks passing is not allowed in basketball. I can understand being a ball hog if you actually have talent but he doesn’t qualify. I’d honestly be happy if they just released him to go shoot endless shots for some other dumbass team.
He would have been a plug and play LG. Now we go all out for Seaton to play LT.
Who cares, the guy refuses to understand how to play with leverage. Always getting stood straight up and driven back. Just pay what you have to for Seaton and look for another interior player with the tools to start.
This is the one player you can’t get outbid for. This is the guy you let your nuts hang if you're LSU. Putting a quality LT with a quality C would completely change the OL. We can find and coach up a RT and 2 G from the guys we already have. Weston Davis could stay at RT and the Kentucky transfer could kick inside to one of the guard spots.
