Get damn good at bunting.
I thought Bingham would have pinch hit and Kling should have pinch run..
Tommy Tanks is so good but that last at bat will be one he wants back always. He was still our best player and Travinski swung at a lot of bad pitches tonight.

Because we are slow and we hit into a lot of double plays.

I hope for the best but MSU wins it all and suffers 2 years consecutively but looking stronger this year, Ole Piss wins it all and suffers 2 years consecutively after. We win it all and suffer first year after, next year unless we hit the portal lottery we look slim. Who knows it's baseball but none of us thought we'd be here or at least I did not.
This team has been hiding in plain view all year. I hate to see what next year could be.
Baton Rouge preferably but Starkville for some payback would be nice.
Your thinking is not flawed but when a Coach has to be so perfect on every call to plan for the lack of offense at any point in a game, you got bigger problems. So we give up runs early or later, we can't score enough to pull out most games and our record reflects that.
Where has this high school pitching been all year.... confidence booster.
10-20 worst case to 12-18 best case and I would say this weekend decides the difference in my prediction. It will be hard to make any post season run with 4 to 5 hitters at best in weaker matchups. We see what 2 or 3 gets us in stronger matchups.

Lack of practice I'd say, we have not had to run many bases in SEC play, seems to be a perishable art.

One thing you can say is CJJ is giving Kling every opportunity to adjust.
I would bench Travinksi for LOFE no doubt, what a leader.

It's says a lot about Coaches confidence in hitting abilities when you bunt in that situation. With the attempted pickoff moves to second even Tennessee knew it was coming. We now have a reputation offensively to overcome in conference.

Run up pitch counts and dig into opposing bullpen and play the war of attrition with our deeper bullpen that has not proven deeper. Cam Johnson and Guidry are struggling.
It's on ESPN, you just have to turn off the attrocious audio.

And it's terribly slow.

Guaranteed he makes another error.
I will always watch or listen to every game, still onboard. I agree that last year we did have multiple lead off hitters and combinations but in all fairness that was because we had so much! If you loose someone to injury let's look at this option or that option. I cannot remember a bad option at 1, 9 or 4 and 5. We had holes but Thompson was the usual suspect with an occasional good game similar to Braswell but both could play little league D. Maybe Larson is the leadoff answer and Bingham at 9. We have to average 8 runs or more in SEC play to have a chance from the pitching consistency and D extending innings for all foes.
We are still hunting a legitamate lead off hitter and #9 hitter. The possible 4 and 5 hole hitters are at number 2. What are you missing?
I have a baseball IQ and I guarantee Johnson is getting in their heads now. He pretty much has the attitude do your jobs or I will make bunt yourself out of an RBI.
Would you be suprised if Jones shook off a bunt sign to get a triple??
Yes, the only guy on the field Bear would not frick with, just popped up a bunt.
I cannot see the value in making Frey bunt unless your just making a point to the team. My team my rules..
Everyone here knows this team is much better than they are playing in SEC play but even the players will tell you that turning it around starts with them.
Our best SS just opened the door and cost us again.

A National podcaster states "a lot of Republicans are actually Democrats but no Democrats are actually Republicans" that's a problem with most voters. Not educated in our 1 party system that's been in place for years now.
