I’m still in the recruiting / Kiffen / football phase as the Natty doesn’t kickoff until Monday night.
But still can’t spell his last name correctly? :dope:

That guy who missed a BUNCH of free throws, shouldn't see the court inside of 2 minutes

New coach wont help at this point.
So players put themselves in and take themselves out of gsmes?

Coach has no role in deciding who’s on the court?

Well since we have no clue what he told Miller and the player made an awful play that no coach would suggest, seems more likely it's on the player.
The fact that you absolve your hero of any responsibility for his 14-44 record (it’s not just about this year) really makes this feel like a bit.

You’re really committed to it.

Players miss free throws, I don’t hold that against him necessarily. Injuries happen to every team, but good coaches can minimize the impact.

Failing to have your defenders set properly is not being snakebit, and he has no one to blame but himself.

You’re doing a bit, right?

This has to be a bit.

Well, he wasn’t exactly lighting it up out there before he was injured
Pretty sure he played less than a half of football before the oblique injury. It was the first game and a non-contact injury.

My freshman year was 1989. Tons of great players and games with Jackson, Shaq, et. al. Camping out on the ramps of the PMAC to get student seats for games against Duke, UNLV. Awesome times. Glad I got to experience them. Sad that the kids today don't get to experience that level of excitement for the team.
I was there during this stretch for basketball and also for baseball breaking through in Omaha. It was a heady time for buckets and bombs while the football program was in the shitter after Hallman followed Archer. We still had Todd Kinchen, at least.

If you retain your players, you don't need to go portal shopping annually.

Who is retaining players these days, and how do you recommend doing that when others are tampering with their rosters and offering millions of dollars?

Collective car dealerships and gas station owners do not have the joint ability to make a difference.

Alabama has as many Fortune 500 companies as Louisiana (two), and Mississippi has none. If Louisiana and Mississippi have people with the type of wealth to support CFB NIL at their chosen schools, Alabama does too.

He was the starter and had a season ending injury in the first game

He originally was thought to be out for the year but came back midway. Problem was the staff loved Lunch Winfield, even when injured, and badly mismanaged Walker getting situational reps to get him back into playing form.

His first drive at Troy was a disaster. Threw a pick six on his first play, got their TE concussed badly (had to remain in Troy), and the Cajuns never recovered despite being competitive with a good team.

Would have been a cool story with him going back home and leading the team to success. That staff remains well in over their heads, however.

This is most certainly untrue.

Perhaps their donor class is voting with its money against DeBoer, but it’s there.

What’s this “we” shite? I didn’t see you out there dragging Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes.

Is there such a thing still as “trouble with the NCAA”?

Yeah, Ole Miss has opened up negotiating with their current offensive staff to try to retain them so it appears we are going to enter another battle here.

He means Ole Miss replacing the coaches that are going to LSU.

Geez the brain worms it must take to watch a NYE show in one of the world’s major cities with millions of citizens plus tourists and students from around the world and focus on their immigration status…

Do you walk thru daily life and see unfamiliar faces and wonder who’s legal and who’s not?

People refuse to believe this. “He’s a Louisiana kid, therefore LSU is his dream school and he would jump at the chance.”

The only thing LSU has over Duke is CFP potential. Sheppard can achieve everything else he might want by staying at Duke.

Eh I would not go that far, especially since LeCompte bailed on the team right before the season he quit. Gonzales and Jones made some runs since then but never really had the talent to go farther. They have had some nice FBS players here and there.

Does it require travel to BR? If so how often?
No, committee members serve in their own region generally, and in-person hearings are held usually at local courthouses. I was once on a matter in an adjacent region, but that’s rare.

If interested, call LADB and ask for application info. There is a vetting process, but it’s routine as long as you have no disciplinary record.

Good point. No other political, social, or cultural group lies with language. Hadn’t considered that.

Volunteered for LADB hearing committee. Free and easy CLE for the year plus public service. Workload isn’t crazy, the staff is great to work with, and I’m learning a whole new area of law.
