I got this text last week. I ignored it because I’ve taken enough security trainings to know that it’s BS. But I can see how elderly people could fall for this. Scammers are straight scum.
It has all the telltale signs… urgency, grammar mistakes, threats, unsolicited, bogus link AND I haven’t received a citation in over 15 years.
“Louisiana Department of Motor Vehicles (BMV) Final Notice: Enforcement Penalties Begin on June 29.
Our records show that as of today, you still have an outstanding traffic ticket. In accordance with Louisiana Administrative Code 15C-16.003, if you do not complete payment by June28, 2025, we will take the following actions:
1. Report to the DMV violation database
2. Suspend your vehicle registration starting June 29
3. Suspend driving privileges for 30 days
4. Transfer to a toll booth and charge a 35% service fee
5. You may be prosecuted and your credit score will be affected
Pay Now:
(Removed link) expresslane.sim vauc.city/pay
Please pay immediately before enforcement to avoid license suspension and further legal disputes.

Yep. If we could start enforcing the left lane is for passing and no texting & driving laws it would greatly help with traffic on our interstates. But instead we have multiple unmarked police vehicles sitting parked next to each other on the shoulder of I12 while shooting radar during morning rush hour. Everyone starts hitting their brakes as soon as they see them & the traffic jam begins. Big rigs sit in the left lane every afternoon backing up traffic. Our roadways are filled with pot holes, trash, never ending road construction & crappy drivers.

Mr. Danny Mixon (RIP), the investigator that was credited with breaking the case, was a customer at the business I worked for at the time. He told us months before DTL was caught that it was going to be a black man. He said “they keep reporting that it’s a white man but they are wrong!” He was right.

He isn’t alone. There’s a couple of homeless people that hangout at there. Not sure how no one has been hit yet because that intersection is very busy & there isn’t much of a median.

I’ve purchased about 20 items from that site. Only 1 of the items was junk & got tossed out of the 20. Just make sure you turn off notifications if you get the app. They will bombard you with alerts if you don’t.

Went through a very similar situation when I was pregnant with my son. The waiting & not knowing was excruciating. He was completely healthy when he was born & he is now a thriving teenager. Praying for the same outcome for you & your wife. Stay strong for your wife & take care of yourself.

It’s not just people throwing trash out of their windows. How do you lose a whole mattress or a piece of furniture on the interstate & not go back & get it? Why do people think that dumping their old toilet on the side of the road is ok? Why is there debris left on side of the road after an accident? Why does it take months-years for this stuff to get cleaned up?
