Sadly, I can’t say King Crimson anymore

BTW, do you think Harris was in touch with the Black or Asian communities?

Not one bit. She was the female Obama with absolutely NO political skills.

Sadly, no. Hopefully my grandchildren will be more amenable to their Papa’s views

I got polled today. It was INTERESTING!

I got an online Democrat oriented poll just now. Evidently, we black folks are still expected to be in lock step with the Democrats. Most all of the questions asked were typical talking points with the words “ As a Black American” included. I’m afraid that my answers were NOT what the pollster wanted to hear! Examples:

1. Do you think Nancy Mace (my Congresswoman) is in touch with Black Americans? She’s doing OK as far as representing ME

2. Republicans attacking the ACA have driven up medical costs for Black Americans. Do you agree that Democrats would be more likely to manage healthcare for BA? No, things would get worse

3. Donald Trump supports tax cuts for billionaires and millionaires at the expense of average Americans. Do you feel Democrats would be better at tax policy? I can quote my exact response: “Over 50% of Americans pay nothing in federal taxes. Our government needs to be better at controlling the tax revenue that is already generated.”

This particular poll had the usual Agree/Disagree click to respond replies, but some questions had space for more through responses and I took full advantage.

I doubt if my name/number comes up on their contact list again!
This version of “I Heard It Through The Grapevine” is the definitive version. BUT, Gladys Knight and the Pips released their version first! I prefer their version. Gladys wasn’t on speaking terms with Marvin for awhile after he covered her. But here’s the twist…the Miracles did the original version! It wasn’t released until AFTER Marvin and Gladys did theirs.

Tennessee beating Virginia ended the last two perfect brackets

Missed free throws cost Florida. They’re called “free” for a reason.

re: Was/Is Prince overrated?

Have you ever listened to “Sign O’ The Times” in its entirety? If so, even tho I disagree with your premise, I respect your opinion. To me, Prince’s only musical peer was Stevie Wonder and Stevie was before his time. Here’s one of my favorite tracks from Prince, and it was never released as a single!

Ray Charles knew we were bombing Iran. Where do you people come from?

And good ol’ Ray has been dead for awhile now. My dear, departed Mom wanted to bomb Iran way back in 1983 when her middle son was on Embassy duty in Beirut. Trump is being merciful compared to my Mom!

True story. She was in grade school when Hiroshima and Nagasaki were nuked. I didn’t tell her, but she found out I was in Lebanon (I’m pretty sure my grand uncle told her). She, a lifelong Democrat, wanted President Reagan to nuke Iran. Just because her Terell MIGHT be in danger! Love you, Mom

Tonight was the first time in my 65 years on planet Earth that I didn’t watch one second of the Oscars (military service excluded). I usually tune in for the major awards at the end, but I didn’t give a damn about it this year. Will probably do the same thing next year!

Going out on a limb, but i would say 1 loss

I know this board is strictly all troll all the time, so I will assimilate. I’m not an Auburn fan. But if Alabama flames out in the tournament, you WILL hear from me again!

This track and “What You Won’t Do For Love” won me plenty of liquor money in my Navy days in bar bets. RIP, Bobby Caldwell!:

What’s the difference between 16 losses and 15 losses in the big picture? There have been 15 loss teams who have made the Dance. All this tells me is that having a tough schedule didn’t mean squat to this committee. Schedule cream puffs in your OOC, win about 40% in conference and you’ll make the tourney.

You were. Miami of Ohio played NOBODY and beat NOBODY. I still remember when Jackson State went undefeated in the regular season, lost in the conference championship game and still got punted to the NIT. If the Red Hawks survive SMU, Tennessee will annihilate them.

This Veteran most certainly is!

Ditto. President Trump is being merciful. Me, I’d be like the Mossad tracking down Nazis after WWII.

I thought “Home At Last “ would be one of the first replies! The inspiration comes straight from “The Odyssey”. I think Homer would like it:

For sure, it’s been scrubbed now. But I’m going to find it, even if I have to summon the Wayback Machine!
Here’s proof that LBJ had NO PROBLEM with using that word. Now, let me find that quote!
