There’s been whispers that he actually finished “Winds of Winter.”

I’m surprised Liberty Media cares about this, I figured all they cared about was maximizing viewers. It’s not like anybody started watching F1 because of its green agenda. We already have electric racing series, formula 1 needs to go back to being formula 1, the fastest cars with the drivers brave enough to push them.

Looks like Libery Media is a hold up on fixing the regulations because the easiest fix would be “contrary to the message Fomula 1 would like to convey”
Are they really willing to sacrifice to series just to push an electric car agenda.
“ The problem is that this road is encountering significant resistance, especially if we are talking about a reduction of 100 (250 kW) or even 150 kW (200 kW). Some teams believe that the technical balance would be too altered. But above all there is the negative position of Liberty Media, which would agree only for a touch-up, not on reducing the electrical component too much that would risk going in the opposite direction with respect to the technological and commercial message on which Formula 1 has invested with the 2026 regulation.”

It is nice to have confirmation they are gonna be able to end it on their own terms. If they have already started on it then we might actually get it next year. The gaps between seasons haven’t helped this show’s popularity.

Sounds like they are gonna do the bare minimum to survive this regulation before major changes for the next set of regulations. He’s toeing the line, he won’t talk bad about the current rules while admitting the next will go in a different direction.
He is also begging drivers and others involved not to talk bad about the series that made them all rich.

Verstappens team finished 9th without him in the car.
Valentino Rossi’s team finished 12th
Leclerc’s younger brothers team finished 19th
Strolls team finished 48th, 12 minutes behind the winner
They were all in the Pro category and an Aston Martin won the whole thing.
His team amassed 465 SECONDS in penalties for blue flag and track limit violations.

I think it was a Dutch winter Olympic coach that ripped the US for this a while back. He said that we should dominate sports like Olympic speed skating with our athletes but for some reason we would rather watch our best athletes give each other brain injuries.
Same applies for our young drivers. They grow up dirt track racing or on smaller ovals. Open wheel karting just isn’t that big of a thing here.

At least they have admitted they missed the mark and are willing to compromise although I’m sure they won’t go as far as the fans want.
They have a Red Bull on train tracks in Madrid, nobody seems to know why.

Is this a way to get around the on track testing rules? What are the odds this car has the Honda F1 engine in it?

McLaren taking a victory lap after their coup.
Miami also, I think this will be the first time F2 has run in North America. Will also prevent Herta from running the Indy 500 this year.

Odd timing for sure to announce that far out. I know GP said he didn’t want to be anyone else’s race engineer. Seems like Red Bull was looking to promote him recently.
They also just had a mechanic that had been with them since 2005, been to every Grand Prix suddenly quit.
Here’s who has already left Red Bull:
2025
Adrian Newey (Chief Technical Officer)
Jonathan Wheatley (Sporting Director)
Christian Horner (Team Principal)
Michael Manning (Control Systems Engineer)
Tom Hart (Performance Engineer)
David Mart (Power Unit Engineer)
Matt Kohler (Chief Mechanic)
Helmut Marko
Honda (end of partnership)
2026
Will Courtenay (Chief Strategist)
Craig Skinner (Chief Designer)
Gary Butters (Gearbox Specialist)
Ole Schäck (Senior Mechanic)

Lance Stroll is going to race GT3 cars this weekend.
“ Stroll will race in this weekend's GT World Challenge Europe season opener at Paul Ricard for Aston Martin squad Comtoyou Racing, sharing an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 with sometime F1 driver Roberto Merhi and Aston Martin F1 academy driver Mari Boya.”

They are believed to leave hundreds of millions of dollars on the table every year. The concession stand prices stay low.
They make zero dollars in TV rights, they give the rights away to ESPN on Thursday and Friday and then CBS for the weekend. This allows them to get full control of the broadcast. They limit sponsors and only run 4 minutes of commercials an hour compared to 20 minutes per hour for other PGA events. NBC pays $93 million for broadcast rights for the US Open.
