Finally hanging up the military after 28 years
Need to call AU and see if you can do a pregame fly over at JHS before you hang it up. Would be cool to see a Herc lumbering over.
Thanks for ll the good wishes and prayers. Baby girl got to come home this morning: discharged 18 hours after what was, for lack of a better description, emergency brain surgery. Amazing.

I've known people who were morbidly obese and this surgery helped them.
That being said, what doctor ok'd a gastric sleeve for her? She was nowhere near needing one.
re: What is your favorite city skyline?
Posted by PJinAtl on 1/16/26 at 1:22 pm to VolsOut4Harambe
I think of skylines in different categories.
There are iconic ones like New York and Chicago.
Visually appealing/beautiful like Denver when viewed from the east with the new mountains as the background.
Visually impressive like Atlanta when driving in from the west and you crest a hill and the whole city is just there in front of you.

Getting cold here in the ATL. Saturday night into Sunday we could see snow in the metro area or it could all stay south of Macon. As of now our area along 85 in Gwinnett has a less than 20% chance of getting more than half an inch.
Been a very odd week for me. Monday I had to have the tension spring in our garage door replaced. Tuesday was the 7th anniversary of our twins being stillborn at 33 week. Today our not quite 2 year old had to have surgery to repair the VT shunt that drains excess fluid from her brain. Tomorrow I turn 50.

f=ma aka force = mass x acceleration.
Acceleration in the case of a collision is more about the direction of movement than increasing velocity.
Think of two cars hitting head in. Both have cruise control set at 60 mph. Although neither is accelerating (increasing velocity) when the two impact there is acceleration/deceleration relative to the direction they were moving.
If Good's vehicle was moving at 2 mph at the exact moment she struck the officer the amount of force at the initial impact would be the same if her speed were constant or not. The difference would be in the split second between initial impact and the time his body is bounced back. If she was accelerating then due to inertia, that increase in velocity would be transferred to the officer as his body is knocked backward away from the vehicle (for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction).

So Iran shutdown the airspace for a surprise US attack?

Clear the airspace so that air defense systems aren't having to determine if an aircraft is military or civilian?
re: NASA confirms exact date to send mankind back to the Moon after 53 years

NASA has said for weeks that launch is no sooner than February 6th. Why would they include a week before that in the launch window?
I know launch window is when all parameters align for the flight profile; it just seems weird to include the first half of the window in the announcement if they aren't going to use it.

His transparents.

In case they get a hole in one.

Blue Sky solo is amazing. Even knowing when Dickie joins in (2:28) and Duane drops out (2:37) it is so smooth and seamless that I can't pick it out when listening.

Trump said the officer was viciously ran over and was recovering in the hospital and lucky to be alive
Is it possible that Trump had seen the cell phone video? If you watch that, you really don't know what happened at the end because of the way the camera drops. If you have been told that the officer was hit by the vehicle (he was) and taken to the hospital (he did go afterwards for a hip injury), is it possible to draw some conclusions based on the video that may not be 100 percent accurate at first?
Also, were you critical of Obama's comments about the Trayvon Martin shooting before all of the facts were known in that case?

ticking and having kids call him uncle is grooming? Something is missing in all of this
I don't see it being a huge stretch. Get kids comfortable with you touching/tickling their stomachs and legs. Then you "accidentally" touch their pubic area when you are reaching for their stomach or your hand slips up a little when tickling their leg.
The justification for use of deadly force is if you feel the perpetrator represents a threat of serious bodily harm to yourself or others nearby.
While the vehicle was too close to the officer to keep him from getting hit, his justification was to protect others - such as the officer who was reaching into the vehicle, other officers in the scene, or bystanders who could be injured by an SUV accelerating rapidly on an icy street.

Can anyone make out what the "wife* says as the officer crosses behind the back of the SUV and down the passenger side? She says they are US citizens and then it sounds like she says "former fricking..." but I can't tell what she says after that. She then tells him to go get lunch and then come back because they will still be there.

So she’s from Colorado and moved to Minnesota but has a Missouri license plate
I think I read she was from Colorado but had been living in Kansas City. She and her "wife" had moved to Canada after Trump's election but then moved to Minneapolis.
The six year old had been in school long enough for the women to get involved with the wokies there, so he had probably been enrolled since August/September. Long enough for them to change their registration and get Minnesota plates if they had wanted to.
National Review Online got hold of some of the training materials for the ICE Watch group.
One section actually talks about how to remove people from custody (i.e. help them escape) and amazingly blocking roads with your car is mentioned.

There is literally a QB starting for old piss tonight who was sitting on the bench earlier this season. You think they think it was a good idea to bring in another QB right about now?
Difference being that Trinidad Chambliss came to Ole Miss from a D2 program and wasn't highly touted out of high school. He may have cost OM some chump change.
No way he is/was making $2-3 million like Deuce Knight or some of these highly rated backups would command.
