re: Is Trump a bigger warhawk than Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld?
Posted by windhamtiger on 2/28/26 at 5:07 pm to SelaTiger
No, I don't think so. I mean what bush and Cheney and rumsfeld did in Iraq. We all know was a lie but we very much know that Iran has nuclear capabilities. So just my opinion, a warhawk is somebody that goes after a needless war. This is something that is needed. Just my opinion
re: Does lsu accept the nit invite this year?
Posted by windhamtiger on 2/28/26 at 5:04 pm to nicholastiger
I would say yes. Whether they should or not is up to debate but I would believe if they get invited they will go. Just my opinion

I'm like you really got into it this winter Olympics and enjoyed watching. I do not believe the men made it to the metal round. The USA women's made it to the medal round but then lost out in the medal round and we finished 4th and of course in the mixed Corey Thiesse in Corey dropkin on the silver medal
re: Aside from USA Hockey, Favorite Olympic Moment?
Posted by windhamtiger on 2/23/26 at 8:49 am to blueboy
Definitely. As you mentioned number one was the women beating Canada in hockey and our men beating Canada in hockey. Obviously number one choices, but besides that I really enjoyed several moments. But I guess my next favorite moment was Alana Myers Taylor winning the mono bobsled and getting her gold. I mean what an accomplishment with two children staying right there with support from her husband and getting the gold. That was probably my next favorite moment, although others were close to that
re: Closing Ceremony
Posted by windhamtiger on 2/22/26 at 9:05 pm to Nole Man
I just hope and pray that the next Winter Olympics being in France does not try to repeat an opening ceremony of that massacre that was in Paris of all the Olympics I've been watching and I've been watching since 1972. That was the worst opening ceremony of anything I've ever seen that of what we saw in Paris. Again, hopefully the more country folk of the French out will put on a opening ceremony. Much like what we just seen in Milano and cortina. Very classy very good. Enjoyed both the opening and the closing ceremonies

Yes, chicken MSU dog beat me to it. Thank you once again for another great Olympics board. I know it will close and we shall meet again in 2028 for the LA Summer Olympics. But this has been a great board as always. Nobody has as great a forum. Than you chicken. Thank you my brother
Jack Hughes is a great American and loves our country

For a few of the athletes that went over there to Milana cartino and use it as a stage to put down on our country. Hats off to Jack Hughes if anyone can rewatch that interview. Absolutely loves our country. Loves being American loves playing for the United States. That should be the spokesperson for this whole Olympic team Go USA
re: Questions about coverage during the entire Games
Posted by windhamtiger on 2/21/26 at 1:23 pm to Big Scrub TX
I kind of agree with you brother. In times past like you said you had USA Network CNBC MSNBC and of course NBC showing different coverages and I went ahead and ordered peacock and you are right, there has been a lot of curling and a lot of hockey and I'm interested. As a matter of fact, I still don't know how you score in curling, but I've really enjoyed watching the women's team and the mixed team and have enjoyed it and of course enjoyed hockey. I have watched a good bit of bobsled and you're right, the snowboard cross was way back at the beginning and for whatever reason there used to be replays and I'm not seeing a lot of replay so I understand you're disappointing in the coverage. I sure hope they do a better job with the Summer Olympics. God willing and I'm still doing healthy. I plan to be retired and going to salt lake City. Maybe see some of these events live but but everything will be coming to an end here soon. I'm watching the gala ice skating live right now. There were some great skaters for sure. Have a great day!

Great run for Taylor for sure and so glad that Humphrey's was able to hang in there and get the bronze Keisha love. Just had a rough outing. Maybe in four more years in the French Alps she can do better

re: Ben Ogden - USA's First Men's Cross Country Skiing Medal (Silver) in 50 Years.
Posted by windhamtiger on 2/10/26 at 2:49 pm to usc6158
I was in the 9th grade in 1976 watching the Winter Olympics and can remember watching the 1972 Olympics in Sapporo Winter Olympics and remembering. Wow what an accomplishment our first medal ever in Cross Country skiing and it's unbelievable that it has taken 50 years to get another medal. Hey, congratulations once again to Bill Koch and especially to Ben. What a monumental effort! Olympian
re: Will Russia ever be allowed back in the Olympics?
Posted by windhamtiger on 2/9/26 at 11:04 am to BluegrassCardinal
Funny thing! I was thinking about this the other day and their dominance in their own Olympics in Sochi in 2014 going to be a long time before the Russia and federation is allowed back in the Olympics at least in my opinion
