As Isiah said...."Woe unto the ones who call evil good and good evil".

He had these people in mind when he said it.
I go to church with Sam's brother, and he is a really nice guy. He told me about his family and how he and Sam grew up. They seem like really good people.
"It is hilarious to watch redneck Protestants just attack an entity they do not understand. Literally, they’ve been told from the pulpit what belief. The Catholic Church truly tries to live out what the gospel teaches, and that includes immigration and loving my neighbor. Which is a tough thing for protestants in the south."

You do not have a clue what you are talking about. Many years ago I was on a medical mission trip to a central American country. The village had a huge Catholic church, definitely the finest building for many miles around, yet according to the village folks who lived there, the doors had not been opened for months and they had seen no one. Our group of doctors and dentists rolled into town for a week long trip to see patients, pull teeth, etc, in conjunction with a Baptist missionary and his crew who would be leading religious services during the week. Suddenly the priest showed up and opened the doors to the church. I did not see a single person go in. They all knew why he was there, and it was only because he did not want to see any of the local villagers going to the Protestant services. I for one, thought it hilarious, but in the long run, they were both working for the same team. It was just one group was putting their beliefs in action by actually helping the people, not putting on a big show with a fancy building when the local people were living in houses with dirt floors.
Ironically, the very hypocrite advocating for open borders sits behind a walled city with more security than can be found at almost any airport in the US.
Tell us the rest of the story. How long had mother and sister been in this country and were they actively seeking citizenship, or were they playing the long game of "they won't do anything about it, since one of our family members is in the military"? Did the military man express his concern to his family and urge them to properly document themselves?

I will have pity for them when you answer the questions about their legality of being here in this country. A family member serving in the Armed Forces does not constitute citizen ship the last time I checked.
"your university is located in arguably the worst state in America."

You my friend are delusional. Mississippi is a gem compared to many other places in the US. Good people, great food, good weather, and affordable. You obviously have never spent much time there.
" The man was politely telling them offhandedly what they have been voting for is causing the highest of taxes and the oil industry to leave"

These people are some of the dumbest folks in the world. They do not want to hear the truth, but will vilify anyone who challenges that old bat and her hateful oral diarrhea. I used to pity the people of California, but I no longer do.....they fully deserve everything that they are getting and will get in the future. These liberal cultists have destroyed the majority of the state with their high taxes, restrictive laws and unrealized expectations.
Define "attack". It appears to me that you are wrong. They have purposefully supported their terrorist proxy groups like the Houthis, Hezbollah and others. They have attempted assininations and funneled money to groups in this country who want to thwart anything that might prevent their ultimate goal. They killed upwards of 30,000 of their own people, many of which had relatives in this country.
Someone had to do something. The only thing required for evil to prosper is for good people to sit idly by and do nothing.
Baton Rouge is not even the premier city in Louisiana.....j/s
....and BTW what is an aggressive scent? Is that some form of a fart, or savage cologne?
I feel dumber just by watching these morons. That is the largest collection of soy-boys and dingbats I have seen in a long while.
The last time I checked genius, the US was not making statements about total irradication of a neighboring country based simply on their religious beliefs. We also we not subverting terrorist groups and cells around the world in attempts to assassinate leaders and terrorize civilians. People like you are delusional.
Do you not understand that being "illegal" does not give you freedom to roam the country at will?
"You actually think the price of oil only affects you when you fill up your car?"

This in an of itself, might be the dumbest thing I ever read on the internet, and that is saying alot. Did you actually believe that comment when you made it? For the love of all that is good and holy, I pray you were just being sarcastic/
What makes you think "he did not think about it"? This is exactly the kind of crap they would have pulled if they got nuclear bombs and they already had a ballistic missile program. If these idiots will strike at the hearts of their neighbors for no apparent reason other than to inflict pain upon them, what makes anyone think they would not use an advanced military weapon against those they hate, such as the US and Israel. Trump, Netanayu and the other competent world leaders knew exactly what these thugs would do, and they acted, mainly out of desperation. I know it is a logistical nightmare, but I am not sure how they have managed to elude complete devastation on their ability to strike out with ballistic missiles to this point.
"The USA doesn't need the strait either.....China and rest of the area does!"

While I agree to a certain extent, since we produce enough for our own needs, the fact that the increasing needs of the remainder of the world, in this economy, drives the oil prices much higher for our domestic product. This is reflected in our own high gas prices. Since our gas / oil industry is not nationalized the world market pricing will always be reflected at our own pumps, and unfortunately that cost will be passed on to US consumers in the form of higher prices on goods and groceries.
"Stop being Islamaphobic"

You evidently are not familiar with the statement that it is not really paranoia IF they are actually out to get you, huh? Keep sticking your head in the sand and they will still shoot you in the arse.
Ed, I am sorry for our loss and for that horrendous experience. No one should have to go thru that, unfortunately I hear a story like that far too frequently. Cancer is a thief that steals our livelihood and our loved ones. Your wife was lucky that she had someone to help care for her in those final days. God bless you and I hope He can give you some peace after suffering thru that horrible event. As someone who works in the medical field, I do not believe that any physician would withhold a cure from a patient based entirely upon the ability to make money. If they do, then they are seriously scum of the Earth. Most oncologists follow treatment plans set up to investigate drugs and drug combination, sometimes with other combined therapies to help create a database that can be used to investigate effective treatment modalities. Some are more successful than others, but when they find something that works, they tend to use it.
The research costs are crazy expensive as well. My guess is that if Ivermectin was solidified as a true anti-neoplastic drug, the costs for it would skyrocket, simply based on the money they would funnel to research and sequester in the coffers to fight and pay out claims. All it takes is for one bad outcome to cost millions of dollars in a liability case, and most of time there is no insurance to cover that type of litigation. Lawyers that work for drug companies are not paid in chicken feed, that's for sure.
I had not heard this, but am not surprised. Over 30 years ago I was at a medical meeting where Levamisol(sp) was introduced in a study showing its effectiveness against colon cancer. It is even still used today in the treatment, if I am not mistaken, in conjunction with other meds. These "rumors" about anti-parasitic meds being effective on cancer go back decades. It is not something new.
Levamasol(sp) is also an anti-fluke medication used in the treatment of parasitemia in sheep. A doctor, who was also a farmer, stood up in the room and asked why the drug when used in his patient population costs almost $6000 (at the time) and the same medication when used to treat his sheep costs about $4. The rep from the company said "Because we have never been sued by a sheep."
Didn't make much sense to me, but after thirty years in this profession what I see is hoops from the FDA for researchers to jump thru and licensing agreements that are strenuous and obtrusive due to fear of litigation. All of these medications have some side effects, but class action lawsuits and historical data shows that these companies are trying to recoup their losses on the front end knowing that there will be litigation going forward. In reality, the company has to make some money, albeit I do not agree with the excessive amounts, or there would be no reason to further the research and produce the medication.
