IU fans have only been watching football for two years. They can’t help but be cursed with having a recency bias.
I worked for a private company that owned 170+ hotels. All the properties had different flagships like Marriott, Hilton, Westin, and so on. The branding had to do with different deals and property locations. Some of the properties changed branding multiple times due to contract issues.
Rebranding is a pretty simple process.

Someone spends too much time making AI gay content.
re: Are your parents pushovers for the grandkids?

I’m sure this is pretty standard across the board, but my question is, were your parents strict and hard on you but total pushovers for your kids? Basically, they went from one end of the spectrum to another?
The burden of being the bad cop should be removed by then. Something I’ve recently realized is that the feeling of pride and accomplishment is greatly increased by being a grandparent. I’m too young to have grandkids but old enough to interact with people becoming grandparents and I will say I didn’t exactly appreciate what they feel until recently.
People say they experience drastic changes upon becoming a parent, but I’d say I’m seeing the same thing with people becoming grandparents.
I don’t know what it used to be like for a lot of families, but it seems like now lots of grandparents have the time and resources to be a significant part of their grandkids lives.

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — At the start of the new year, Utahns will no longer be able to use SNAP benefits to buy soft drinks. A new law passed by the Utah legislature earlier this year takes effect on Jan. 1, 2026, preventing those on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) from using those funds to buy sugary carbonated drinks.
I just hope I don’t see any farmers buying soft drinks with that $13 billion we just gave them.

My wife despises Hey Dudes, but this could be payback for the money I shelled out. I wore a pair in Omaha and they weren’t bad, started to feel like I was walking barefoot after a while.
There be some sort of Cartesian Coordinate System that plots the boomers from the poors based on Hey Dudes, Crocs, New Balances, and ON’s. Bonus points adjusted by no show socks.

Even as a teenager I took naps on days when I could. By college naps were mandatory 4-5 days a week. Napping has never interfered with sleeping at night for me.

Always felt safer in NYC than in NOLA and BRLA. This thread really exposes how little people know about the NYC area.

You don’t have to live in NYC to work in NYC. There’s plenty of affordable places to live in commuting distance.

Worked a summer in Yellowstone back in the mid 90s. Would pick up hitchhikers all the time. It was mostly other college aged park workers venturing around the different villages. It was so much fun
I feel like this still happens in ski towns and resort islands.

Yes…once at LSU. Gave some guy a ride from Walk-Ons area up to the North Gates near that ATV place. He started to want to go down some random roads up past the north gate and I refused. He got out without much a fuss. No idea how close to being a victim or not
I’ve resorted to asking strangers for rides on several SEC campus areas when taxis weren’t available. Before the days of uber.
My California friends tell me that they have a a program called casual car pool. It’s basically hitchhiking.

Most important question is whether it will still be on the shelf for the next year? After that any other companies getting that squeezed by tariffs?

It wasn’t long ago that we celebrated tax dollars being used to educate children in these sort of institutions. Sounded like a great idea when we thought all the schools would be Christian.

Trump has destroyed their entire party. And it’s glorious
Without seeing who or what this statement is responding to, I have little idea which party is being discussed. I’d make the case it could apply to both.

I don’t get the impression that he is partisan. Anyone who criticizes the hive on the board get labeled. It just seems like he enjoys calling attention to poor critical thinking skills and this is fertile ground for that.
I rarely use that sort of language amongst close friends my own age.

Of all the conspiracy theories thrown around on TD that’s hardly the most absurd.
