Yes, I am very confident about Dr. Narcisse. Change is hard and many people do not like it, particularly when their ox is being gored. But we need to change for the sake of our children, all children. I support Dr. Narcisse more and more. Is he perfect, of course not, but he has accomplished more in 18 months that we did in the prior 5 years.
Day of Hope was well intentioned but poorly executed and monitored. I also feel many issues were blown way out of proportion by some people. Everyone makes mistakes but these will not be repeated.

Hello Johnny, You will be happy to know that two large plots of land have recently been purchased in the southern part of the parish. One, near Siegan and Perkins, will be a new high school (or 6-12). The other, just further south on Perkins, will be a new elementary school (or K-8). Plus, EBRPS is reclaiming back the Kenilworth site from a BESE charter and will be reopening a K-8 school. Also, Mayfair and Glasgow are scheduled to be torn down and completely rebuilt. I agree, the southern part of the parish has been neglected but we are doing something about it.
Did you know that there are 24 charter schools with BESE scores. No "A", 1 "B", 6 "C" and the rest "D" and "F". 71% of charters are D or F, a much higher % than EBRPS.

Just FYI, there are 24 charter schools in EBR. No charter school has an "A" rating. One charter school has a "B" rating, 6 charter schools have a "C" rating and the other 17 are "D" or "F". 71% of charter schools are "D" or "F". Meanwhile, EBRPS has seven "A" rated schools, six "B" rated schools and sixteen "C" rated schools. Yes, we have other schools rated "D" and "F" but less than charter schools on a % basis. Main determinate of a school's score is the economic position of the students. All of our "D" and 'F" schools have 85% or more economically disadvantage students.

Sorry Sir, no retirement for school board members. Plus no kick-backs.

Hello Sir, You can call me at 225-229-5584 if you would like to heard about all of the progressive changes happening in EBRPS. Things have and are changing. Just yesterday we were awarded a $3.5 million dollar competitive grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This is not your old EBRPS>

Minor salary, about $800/month. No pension. Most of us just care about kids. I am 69 years old. No other political ambitions for me.
