Got 2 big Cs but hanging in.
Speaking of Ya Ya, in "G" barracks in 1947, his last year and my first, I got to know him well.
Paul Dietzel
Remember, he said at the NY awards ceremony when told LSU was not picked to win the national champion he responded, "I I had 33 kids who thought they couldn't be beat, and I didn't tell them otherwise.":
Clint is a bit older than me. I've me I've hung out in his old restaurant in Carmel.
Not unsurprisingly, this quiz comes up just about every time I post.

I was born November 26the (at home, 8th and Laurel) in Eunice, LA in 1930. I graduated from Eunice High School in May 1947 at 16 years of age. I enrolled at LSU that Fall with a 4 year scholarship.

It’s all a matter of record and easily accessible.

There’s hardly a doubt Kelly left coach Kiffin a hard row to hoe. Even harder may be his courage to sustain and overcome the impatient insufferable knocks of those who usually expect too much, and too quick. I wish him nothing but the very best. :nana:
Great teams like “Break up the As” had never even heard of the “shift”. :violin:
We need every W we can get from here on in so I don’t understand the callous attitude some have about the game tonight (0 and 1s) reference Yorke playing. Recent indications are the poor fellow is ‘in over this head’. Midweek games afford ideal opportunities without too much risk to evaluate personnel at different playing positions. I’m anxious to see Jay’s approach tonight to our 1B problem. :dude:
I'm going why pay a minor league 350K to tryout in the SEC?
Batting .500 isn't embarrassing.
Gonna be some hard dogs to hold on the poach from now on. :nana:
Come on man, he can't hit SEC pitching. You may as well bring a kid up from the minors over night to the majors.
80 plus years of watching baseball tells me Between His Legs Yorke is a negative to this club. :nana:
May she rest in peace. I'll be 95 tomorrow. God bless you
I like him too and especially for whoever he's allowing my kind of play calling like their very first play for a touchdown. :dude:
If you know why he left the Dolphins after only one year and then left Alabama, you'll easily decern why he won't come to LSU.

Amen to that...Besides Gameday where he shows off his coaching expertise, and not having on the field to actively deal with NIL player development problems Saban is co-owner of Dream Motor Group a billion-dollar powerhouse. So, all things considered it wouldn’t seem he’d be much interested in any kind of job at LSU working for the governor of Louisiana.
