OSU producing so many elite WR prospects lately SHOULD make the comparison easier

I would say he's one of the better contested ball catchers OSU has put out the last 5 years.

He's a bit "stiff" compared to the other top guys. He certainly would be last to me of the group, which again isn't a knock. It's just he is prob a WR2 not a WR1 like all the rest are/should be

Each player gets the same amount of stickers on their helmets

For the wins of the team.

Individuals still get them based on performance

But since Ryan Day took over for Meyer in 2018, the way a player receives a sticker is slightly different. As noted in the aforementioned ESPN piece, players receive one sticker for each touchdown they account for. Quarterbacks earn a sticker if they meet a certain completion percentage that is agreed upon going into a game.

Day has apparently made it harder to get them and less stickers are appearing on player's helmets. Someone actually complained about it last season
I’m an OSU fan through and through and I agree with you.

To me he’s a late first early second talent

Texas and PSU had a combined zero wins against top 25 teams

Neither of them were getting in over osu who had two top 10 wins AND a head to head win over PSU on the road

The resumes aren’t event close
They were 8th. Being ahead of 4 teams makes them 4th

You really are a special kind of special today
Well boise Arizona st Texas and PSU
See my previous response. Osu would have gotten in
No they wouldn’t. They were behind Boise and ASU who were not there correctly, they were behind Texas and PSU who lost. CCGS and have zero ranked wins between them. OSU beat PSU head to head and had a top 10 Indiana win. OSU was only 8th based on the expanded playoff rules. Based upon 2013-2023 criteria they would have been #4
Day would have won the 4 team playoff in 2024 too
It’s actually really high. 15-8 against top 10 and won 6 of his last 7 against top 5 teams in the last two seasons

Normally I’d argue we have bigger fish to fry, but the current state of college football is so out of control I’m fine with this.

It's billions of dollars a year so it can get somewhere.

I kind of suggested something like this in another thread, but Trump does not need to be involved in the least IMO

LOL if anyone still puts stock in these silly measurements and underwear Olympics over actual production on tape they shouldn’t be scouts.

I think you can take some stock in it. There will always be an exception to the rule.

Aaron Donald is 6'1'' 280 lbs. He is far from "ideal" size but was the best DT in the NFL for a decade.

Arm length must be important since it is measured, but I don't think it should knock a guy down multiple rounds.

The real solution is to end the playoffs at new years.

Regular season ends Thanksgiving weekend, playoffs in December.

January transfer portal.

This may well be the right answer.

NSD this year was terrible as it was during CCG week. They need to figure that out too as a sidenote
During Covid I did a 10k calorie challenge day over 4th of July because no one was able to really do anything.

It was a great time and it included 12 chocolate covered KK donuts. They went down so easy that if i was going to do 15k ever (which I never will), I would prob try and do 24 donuts as they are easy.

I finished btw:

5 BEC Biscuits Mcdonalds
dozen donuts
2 double meat chipotle burritos
Large Sausage/Pep Pizza from Dominoes

Yes it was a fat day, no I don't care now as it was 5 years ago almost

but only allowing January transfers

It's especially dumb because the teams still playing in the playoffs potentially lose players and can't bring in new ones as they are preparing for huge games.

They have really got to sit down with 25-30 people on a committee and figure this out. Get a sample of coaches, player reps, ADs, Presidents, Media from the main teams/conferences all need to get in a room and make a calendar that makes sense in today's world and they prob need to meet 2-3 times a year to adapt as the game adapts

I think it completely depends on how many teams are in the playoff in 27/28. If we are at 16+ I think it can get played as teams with 3 losses will get in annually

You just wait and see what the NFL does if college becomes more attractive for some stars and the NCAA can’t do anything to keep guys from playing 7+ years.

Right. They don't have to directly tied for one to impact the other and one to step in to help fix the other.

The NFL can't have kids coming back for 5th years making $6 million over going to the NFL as a first rounder making $6 million

Right now the last pick of the first round makes around $3 million a year. Some kids already make more than that now
I'm not going to throw stones at all. This is the way the game is being played

I think enforcement is coming because if not, you will have too many college kids making more than NFL starters and it has to have a balance

Until then, you have to spend to win

Ryan Day is the most overrated coach in college football. If it hadn't been for CFP expansion in 2024, he'd have been fired in the locker room the moment after they lost to unranked Michigan at home.

Except OSU would have been the 4 seed in the playoff. #1 would have played #4 OSU in the Rose and that game was already played and UGA/ND would have played in the Sugar, another game played. Then OSU already played ND and won

OSU had more ranked wins than Texas and PSU combined. They changed the criteria to not hurt CCG losers in 2024 but they only did that because of the expanded playoffs. OSU had a win @PSU and Texas had no ranked wins

nothing but bitch about it after winning their last two games by 3 X 3.

Well they didn't win their Semifinal in OT, they won in the last minute. So it wasn't 3X3.

To the OP, yea it's fun, but it's not a good way to decide things IMO. Maybe have a 10 minute or 5 minute OT period with a shootout after if still tied or tied again.

You can't play a 4 OT game to decide this maybe but you can do things to make it as fair as possible

Canada always thinks they outplayed everyone. It's their default cope mechanism in every defeat

I think most people who watched game would absolutely agree Canada outplayed the US.

The team who plays better doesn't always win. That is part of sports.

The US had the far better goalie and that made all the difference
