Absolutely. How long does it take to grab the phone from an assistant coach and say, “hey man, we hear you’ve been setting it on fire this season. We can’t wait to get you to Baton Rouge to see LSU football and Saturday night in Death Valley in person. The sky is the limit here at LSU. Yada yada… if you need anything at all don’t hesitate to call or text me. Have a great day!”

Damn! You are good. A true closer. How long have you been recruiting? You really are persuasive. Players will be lining up with this strategy.
I agree with your assessment but the economics of the situation cannot be ignored. If you up the stakes and no one plays, you have to change. You need to find a balance of growth and improved academics. The LSU brand sells itself in athletics but still has a way to go in overall academics but has made significant strides towards improvement. With the current landscape of investment in Louisiana, there is a possibility of really getting both to drive LSU, and the state, to an unprecedented growth trajectory.

Of course, the politics in the state will probably screw it up for everyone.

You don’t have to be woke to understand that LSU was not always considered a top academic destination. In fact, I would argue that LSU has been better lately about being considered academically successful. The Cybersecurity program is getting recognized as a quality destination along with the rest of engineering. Also, Agriculture, Energy, and Coastal Studies are also very good. I also feel like Business and Human Sciences produce great students. Just my opinion though.

EMS at football ops

Have a friend that works near the ops building and said there is an ambulance and fire trucks there. Someone was waiving them into the parking lot. Does anyone have a contact that could fill us in on what happened?

re: living in Sydney

My BIL is from Australia. The cost of living is astronomical. Three bedroom house in Sydney is stupid expensive so most people rent. I would love to visit but I am not sure it is worth living there. The entire country is like that.
Just getting back from the Chattanooga. They should go there.

Looked forward to this show every year. Still watch Darlene Love each year. Was a great tradition.

re: Is anybody here a twin?

Posted by contraryman on 12/17/25 at 9:40 am to
I married a twin. (No pics) They are super close and talk everyday. They have had experiences where they both go through something at the same time that is an odd coincidence. I.e. neither had ever broken a bone before last month. Within days of each other, both broke toes on their left foot. Spooky. There are other weird things too. But the strangest thing is that when I first met them, I thought my wife’s twin kissed better than her.

That is all.

Hey, I get that you consider yourself an expert in everything about hunting deer. And that includes the damage of 30.06 will do to a deer, and all of those other calibers your daddy hunts with. However, unless you were the attending physician and inspected the body personally, you can’t say with 100% certainty what happened. I don’t care how many deer you skinned, cleaned and shot. And I understand your skepticism because you really want to believe what you’re saying is 100% certain. But you can’t be certain. It is your opinion.

If you don't hunt you're a city boy

Once again this is an opinion. A person doesn’t need to hunt to know more about the characteristics of the 30.06 caliber. I would think there are people who don’t hunt that no more about that caliber and the damage it will do than any “country boy” that hunts. But that is just my opinion.

More than likely

Here is the problem with your argument.

That and the fact you outed yourself as a dumb know it all by using “city boys” to describe everyone who disagrees with your point of view.

Rookie.

Must not have graduated from the business school.

Also, you have to improve the facilities to recruit top professors. The work improving the campus through upgrading and expanding the facilities will pay off in that respect. Also, better students will be recruited along with more/new industry partnerships that will bring revenue into the university and state. If we can keep the governor from screwing this up through moratoriums and adverse business conditions, LSU and Louisiana are at the very beginning of a huge boom to the economy. Almost as big as getting lane kiffin as coach. ??
The gyros sandwich is legit. Can’t go wrong with beef n cheddar either.
