Start a Soccer League

I just had the idea that I want to start a soccer league in the United States. Although futbol is popular in other places in the world such as England it's definitely growing in the US. Need some fellas to get on board with this.
The teams have coaches and everything, however, the team is actually run by stakeholders online. Meaning, once someone invests enough to meet a said threshold then they are eligible to become an owner and vote online for team decisions. Not sure what the threshold would be and if it would be a certain amount you have to pay or if you pay more that is reflected with voting power.
Eligible to vote on:
-Transfer markets (asks and bids)
-New coaching hires
-Lineups (maybe, don't know how I feel about that)
I'm obviously imagining this wouldn't be profitable for the pioneer investors until (if) the league grows, would need to be able to raise a lot of capital upfront.
Seems like a cool concept, definitely just throwing this out to see if it catches some steam. Thoughts?

Ya fr, he definitely got some more confidence this year but the man just won the playoff and is about to do it again.
I thought the story about whenever Tennessee fans got his phone number and called him all throughout the night before game day and then Stetson responded by throwing a dot on the opening drive and then proceeding to put a finger phone against his ear and saying "call me" was sick

What a terrible take, yes I understand teams try to steal signs but it's about how you steal them. The Astros used technology, I'm all for stealing signs from the catcher via the eye, and then if you have a runner on 2b somehow send those signs to the batter by using some code or try to figure out if the pitcher is tipping pitches. Using technology is outrageous

I agree to an extent, I do think it's the owners and their greed because they'll sacrifice team performance for profitability 100%. At the end of the day, it's a business for them and if going after big-time players seeking big-time contracts doesn't seem profitable even though it makes them more competitive they won't do it, which is where I think they begin to lose that ability to really compete for the World Series

The AAV is a fair point but I hope contracts don't become any more inflated than they are right now for the sake of having league parity. (They probably will with guys like Steve Cohen)

Fair points, the Royals definitely aren't however, in 2015 they had a higher payroll than most years and the Astros are consistently a top 8 team in payroll and ya the Braves are pretty middle of the pack if not a little above

Weird that the only teams to get called out that year for cheating were the Red Sox and Yankees, the two teams that the Astros played in the playoffs, almost like that narrative was pushed to not make the Astros look as bad. Someone got paid off. There also wasn't as much evidence against either of those clubs as there was against the Astros hence the difference in penalties... Bregman dickee eater

Dude, I'm sorry but I just wish there was some admission of guilt maybe, rather than trying to find every excuse to justify that World Series, such as everyone cheats. Astros fans really have the audacity to trance around in 2017 World Series gear get outta here

Speaking from the MLB side, all the teams that have won in the past 10 years are large market teams that could not care less about the luxury tax and eat their tax with hopes for it being their year. I guess it creates parity amongst those top-ball clubs but is still ultimately a little lob sided. Then again, maybe that's not a bad thing for the sake of bringing in revenue for the league

Curious as to what people prefer, having a league with a luxury tax, salary cap, revenue sharing, or no limitations. What's more important, having a league balance with these implementations, or should leagues just do away with any kind of limits/sharing and let the larger markets throw around money left and right? Not like the luxury tax really stops teams in the MLB from throwing around money hence all the news with Steve Cohen.

For anyone who has not been paying attention to the NFL this season, Jalen Hurts is on pace to have record-setting numbers in both passer rating and rushing TDs for a QB. Now, any wise person would assume that would make him an MVP lock, however, people tend to stay on the Mahomes and Josh Allen bandwagon because of their performances over the last few years. This is utter blasphemy, the disrespect for Jalen Hurts' name is rather bothersome, as people are "blaming" his success on first-year star receiver AJ Brown. Am I going crazy, or is Jalen Hurts not the undisputed MVP as of today? Keep in mind he is conducting an 11-1 offense in the always-competitive NFL.

I think USC has a chip on their shoulder from the last meeting and understands how big of a game this is for their playoff hopes and comes out of the gate hot and never looks back

I'm not going to act like I'm the biggest soccer fan in the world, only gotten into it as of late but logically what you're saying makes sense, however, I don't really think we've been great in attack either and I know they have Virgil, the best defender in the world which raises some concerns. We're gonna have to capitalize when we get the opportunities

I know you're kidding but A&M was getting rid of Jimbo as the "OC" regardless of that LSU win, they just got rid of this season's incumbent OC so they're opening the role. I'm going to say this just so I get some down votes but with a new OC A&M is definitely going to be back. Expect 10-2 at a minimum

In light of the World Cup I watched some of Welcome to Wrexham and thought it started out kind of slow, my friend was a huge truther of the documentary but I think it's just okay.. curious about what the general consensus on the boards is
