Tonsillectomy advice

Posted by FearTheFish on 3/3/26 at 3:12 pm
My 3 year old has to get his tonsils and adenoids out this week. Things are the size of golf balls and the poor guy can't sleep at all (snoring/sleep apnea) and is perpetually sick with strep and other bacterial infections.

Doc says this is very routine, although he's on the lower end of the age range to get this done. I was much older when I had mine out.

Any advice from OTers on how to help him out post-surgery? I've got a freezer full of ice cream at the ready.
This isn't an airport. You don't have to announce your departure.

While it's easy to hate on Jackson, cybercrime and ransom ware attacks are skyrocketing across the country. Major systems across the United States are being hit by very sophisticated attackers.

This isn't a "Jackson gonna Jackson" issue - this is a major, organized crime.
The Dixie National Rodeo parade is this weekend baw.

Thank you for posting this
I am hilarious like my father, and his father before him.

Ideally, you would go to Catholic Mass every Sunday, but in this situation I'm proposing a compromise for he and his fiance.
Only she would be alternating. He would need to go to Mass every Sunday regardless if he went to another denomination's service.

That's how obligations work.

We go to Mass at 10 and non denomination at 11.
How are you toe-ing the line? If by "we" you mean family, that could be very disruptive to a child's faith formation.

How are you instilling the importance and sanctity of the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Christ being lifted above the alter if you're immediately turning around and going to religious cirque du soleil, which you admit you go to because you enjoy the entertainment value?

Catholicism and Protestantism are both right? You are being pulled away from the truth.

Go to a specialty running store.
Cannot stress this enough. Varsity Sports, Fleet Feet, etc. have people and technology trained to fit the shoe to you, not the other way around.

Also important to get re-fitted every couple years to see if your needs change.

FYI fitting is part of the process. It isn't "extra".
