House is close to Rice University and we're setting up a tailgate there so we can start in the morning like usual. We'll have other games on TV, A/C, food, etc inside and yard games music, kegs outside. Having a bus pick up the tailgate group and drop us off at NRG a couple hours before gametime. After last year in Dallas I wanted to do something with some shade at least.

It's the most popular sport in the world because most of the world is too poor to support/follow/play other sports.
In countries where they can follow other sports, they do. baseball in Japan and Korea, basketball in China, Cricket in India, hockey in Russia, hockey, football, and basketball in Canada, the list goes on...
There is nothing wrong with soccer, it is entertaining and there a lot of good athletes who play it but you people that idolize it need to chill out. In the scheme of major world sports, it, in and of itself, is nothing special at all.
Its worldwide popularity is due more to its simplicity than anything remarkable about the game or its players.

I've got about 3 pounds of peeled crawfish tails from a boil the other weekend. Looking to make a bisque out of them. If anyone has a good recipe, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm looking for a creamier recipe FWIW. Thanks in advance. 
I'm from Houston too and there really isn't anything in Baton Rouge that can compare. You're not gonna find any Goode Company BBQ quality food here. Same way as you can't find gumbo or etouffe in Houston to match south LA.

Oddly enough, I feel as if Texas is probably the only team in the top 5 that we would have a pretty legit chance of beating right now. I was at the game where they played Baylor and although they wiped Baylor all over the field, I noticed several of the chinks in their armor would pair up nicely with our strengths:
Peterson would absolutely shut down Shipley. Texas hasn't sniffed a secondary like ours all year. Nebraska has at best a very mediocre secondary and Texas still couldn't move the ball.
Texas' running game is on par with ours and against worse defenses. Herbstreit constantly mentions how their running games really is their short passing game. I feel that Coleman and Shephard would neutralize that threat.
Finally, Texas is a team we could really have some success throwing the ball around on. We would have our shots downfield and crossing routes are open all day (see the A&M game). They also have trouble defending passes to tailbacks out of the backfield and we seem particularly fond of that play.

With all of the funding, facilities, talent, support, etc. that our football program has and should have for the forseeable future, is it unreasonable to expect the following over the next 10 years:
3-4 SEC West Championships
2 SEC Championships
1 National Championship
3 BCS Bowl appearances w/ at least 2 wins
7-3 overall bowl record

We'll lose Coleman, Riley, and Cutrera after this season. Sheppard is the only returning linebacker with significant experience.

thats a pretty sweet job, first hand knowledge of what miles is thinking during practice and games, good for him
this is not going to be fair...could photoshop high school uniforms on those guys and no one would be the wiser
snapped his achilles tendon in the spring, had surgery and should be back to full speed by the end of the month...not sure yet if he'll make the trip to Washington or not
Will he try to get a medical redshirt for this season?

Pretty sure Peterson can't, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the rule that you can only leave after 3 years in college (i.e. Juniors or Redshirt Sophomores)?
I could see Chad leaving if he had a monster year, physically he's already there.

Obviously this depends on what kind of season we have but assuming these players stay healthy and produce like we expect, what do ya'll think? Chad? Nevis? Barksdale?

Very average...If you're looking for this type of restaurant, Qdoba is much better
the fried calimari po boy at chelseas is something else, ya'll should definitely give that a shot
Mel's diner, filmed alot of american grafitti (sp?) here and the food is great.
