I just heard this one joke about Oedipus and King Midas.
It was motherfricking gold!

The best delivery for a dad joke is to randomly put it into a conversation without missing a beat. Good job.
Also, you can include it as a story, such as:
So, last week I went to a local beekeeper to buy some bees to start my own bee colony. I had done my research and found that I only needed an even dozen, so I bought 12 of them. He handed me the container, but there were 13 in there. I said, "Sir, you gave me an extra bee."
He said, "That's a freebie."

As soon as I enter a neighborhood with speed bumps, I know it will be filled with the poors.

Modern Marvel's, Season 9, Episode 37, Oct 2003 covered the history and engineering of the causeway. It's very interesting.

Another good book on this subject is Ultra Processed People.
I saw that movie, it was called Soylent Green, but I never read the book. It took place in the future...2022.
re: Some people need to be banned from using roundabouts.

Where I live in Lacey, WA, they have multiple roundabouts, and they are wonderful. They have added two within 2 miles of my house in the past 10 years to ease traffic flow.
BR needs one at the corner of Lee & Hyacinth. Without a left turn arrow at that light, it has been a shite show since I was a kid in the 80s. A few years ago I was back in town and saw that nothing had changed in over 40 years, except more traffic.
My taxes are high in WA, but the roads are good.

He looks like a junior high social studies teacher learing at his class taking a test, checking on who is cheating.

I still play with some of my best friends. Started playing Halo 2 in 2005 at night while in Bahgdad. It was a great way to take our minds off of the war. Great times.

That boy's name is Roy G Biv, he's so far on the spectrum. You know his mama was taking Tylenol on the daily when she was pregnant.
re: Did you go to your high school reunions?
Posted by CajunSuperJeff on 9/25/25 at 11:39 pm to TigerFanatic99
I live in washington, and graduated from a New Orleans public school. I saw the Facebook pics of the 35th reunion that happened over Labor Day. I'm glad I didn't go and glad I haven't gone to any.
I left new orleans in 1990, and don't ever plan to move back there or see any of the people I went to HS with. I only recognized one person, who I went to grade school and HS with, the rest aren't even memories any longer. It was rare to be the white kid at a New Orleans public high school in the '80's, and even rarer now. There's nothing in it for me.

It was the time of unspeakable darkness. I was a freshman in '90 and went to almost every home game my entire college career.
That Florida State game in the rain was fun. I went to Gainsville in '92 to watch us lose.

re: Kids using “bru” or “bruh”
Posted by CajunSuperJeff on 5/15/25 at 2:40 pm to BeachDude022
I grew up saying it in NOLA in the 80s, but very rarely say it as an adult, but when I do, it needs to be on point. As an executive, I was asked a ridiculous question in a meeting a few weeks ago with a lot of senior people present, I paused, took off my glasses and said, Brah!?". Everyone started laughing. So they're is always a time and place, no matter your age. But 12 times in a 15 word sentence is terrible.

re: Just in case you want to know which corrupt states to focus on.
Posted by CajunSuperJeff on 10/31/24 at 11:38 am to Green Chili Tiger
I live in WA state where it's 100% mail-in ballots for all elections. If you are over 18 and have a drivers license, you are registered to vote, and they send your ballot to the address on file. This is where the fraud starts and allows mail-in ballots to be sent to address' where the person may no longer live.
There are multiple military bases up here where the service members registered to vote, then leave the state. But ballots are still married there. It's ridiculous.

re: Would you rather have a mountain house or beach house/condo?
Posted by CajunSuperJeff on 4/19/24 at 11:05 am to braves21
I still own my home on the side of Cheyenne Mountain and plan to spend my summers there when I retire in 2-years since the snow is relentless in the winter at times. And F**k that B, I'm giving up a lot to get that home in the divorce because I love the home and the view.
I miss the beach, but the redneck tourists whenever I go is so unappealing.
My vote is both, but you have to find the right spot for each. Play your cards right when you are young so you can have the best of both worlds later in life.
