re: Realistic expectations

Posted by NoOmega18 on 12/7/14 at 11:26 am to
I am thinking 10 or 11 as well. However, some fans are content as of now. I just don't see the improvement at the qb position. We have the talent. I don't have faith in the face of the program.
The answer is no. All lsu fans know this. You will be viewed as negative for stating the obvious.

Realistic expectations

I would like to get a standard of expectations for lsu each year. Are our expectations to be in contention for the west title each year? Also, are 8 or 9 wins sufficient each year? I've finally got it in my head finally not to question the coach for not being creative or being able to adjust.

Now don't criticize miles. Bama had way more talent than us. We shouldn't expect les to compete against Bama. He's a good person. You will be judged as negative on this board. We shouldn't have good things at lsu. Be thankful for the 70s big 10 offense and support the visionary les.
No I'll keep being an lsu fan that supports the guys on the field. I also wil continue to question their coach when he doesn't put them in the best position to win.

You miles worshippers ask posters on the rant to be creative with topics yet don't require it from les in his coaching. I respect your opinion. I just disagree.
What we're saying is the players have talent the proof is on case every Sunday watching NFL games. However les fails to get the best out of these guys while their at lsu.
bama may be first in line but lsu is right behind them. Watch the NFL games tomorrow and count how many times you hear 1st, 2nd.ie 3rd year payer outtake lsu.
I think you are confusing fans that want the coaches to get the best out of our talent. They also want a 2014 offense with some creativity.
If we have the same regime, we will be winning 8,9 or 10 games and second in the sec west. We will be like Nebraska.
The admins will anchor this thread. How dare you question coach miles? You are supposed to put him before lsu apparently. Here comes his worshippers, I mean supporters, in 5,4,3,21....
You sir hit it on the head. That's a good post.

I'm not in over my head. I was provided my answer. Certain fans protectiveness of the man makes no sense at all. I never was trying to convince people of your ilk.

re: Miles apologists and protectors

I said the substance of this thread was the protectiveness of his supporters. After this thread, I consuder them his worshippers. That's what is said.
Saban facing a coach using the same game plan that was used in the previous meeting was lucky too.

I didn't lie. You sir have a reading comprehension problem.
Les miles isn't on trial here. There is no need to protect him.
This is not a court of law. I don't need facts to participate in a "rant" website. I stated my opinion if you disagree state that.

re: Miles apologists and protectors

Posted by NoOmega18 on 12/6/14 at 11:14 pm to
You took that out of context. You left out the sentences about why he can't be questioned and why some fans are over protective of him. That's a nice try though.

re: Miles apologists and protectors

I wasn't questioning miles in this thread. I wanted to hear from his supporters regarding their protectiveness of him. That sir was the substance of this thread. I already established I think les is no longer in his prime for coaching earlier. That is what the previous thread addressed.
Now, I was disrespectful calling him by his given name? Then you call me a name and say I should be banned. Are you related to miles sir? I don't understand the protectiveness of the man. It isn't personal to me. All I care about are wins for the tiger. You are taking this very personal sir.
It keeps appearing on here because certain fans act like you can't question a highly paid coach and arent supportive of the program. He isn't a volunteer coaching preteens in the neighborhood.

Miles apologists and protectors

Posted by NoOmega18 on 12/6/14 at 10:14 pm
Why are some of you people so protective of him? Is he doing a decent job? Yes, the program is stable. However, he has not showed the ability to evolve or be creative as of late. He is getting top tier pay every year but lsu isn't getting too tier coaching each year. Fans have a right to be concerned and question the trajectory of the program without being called negative. I'm sure this thread will be anchored. The players are off limits for harsh scrutiny. Leslie should be fair game.

re: LBJ plans on 12/12/14

I love AD. He may can guard LeBron in spots here and there. Lebron is faster and stronger than him. If AD guards LeBron primarily, this will impact his scoring and rebounding. AD guarding him in 3 to five minute stretches a half isn't a bad idea though.

LBJ plans on 12/12/14

Posted by NoOmega18 on 11/11/14 at 2:26 pm
LBJ prefers to keep his teammates involved than score all the buckets. He is no gunner like Kobe. Next game we shouldn't double team him as much. Let's make LBJ score 40 plus instead of double teaming him leaving Love open for 3. This will make him totally uncomfortable and he'll start forcing passes for turnovers.

re: Grantland on LBJ v AD

Posted by NoOmega18 on 11/11/14 at 2:00 pm to
Yes Duncan is a bigger presence on the inside.

However, Duncan was the best player in the league for some years, but he never was the star of the league (see Shaq, Kobe, and LeBron). AD has the potential to be the best player and be the star of the league because his game is casual fan friendly. He can achieve this right in lovely New Orleans. This is a great time to be a Pelican fan.

AD is way more athletic than Duncan. He has the fundamentals down like Duncan, but he is capable of adding a some flair to get the fans out of their seats. Duncan doesn't possess that. In addition to transforming a team as for as wins, AD has the potential to be a box office NBA attraction.

don't hate Tyreke. I see him for what he is: high usage, inefficient guard who will make a top 10 play followed by 2 not top 10 plays because he suddenly thinks he's Jordan.

This the perfect scouting report on Tyreke. I love his passion and energy but he is someone who should come off the bench. However, he is pressed into service as a starter because of our current roster.

Last 5 Fourth QTR Minutes

Posted by NoOmega18 on 11/11/14 at 1:28 pm
Monty needs to make sure that the offense runs through AD the last 5 minutes of the game. I love Jrue and Tyreke, but the last 5 minutes of an NBA game the offense typically runs through the star of the team. AD is a willing passer so he will share the ball if someone else has a better shot.

Tyreke is too unpredictable to make decisions in this most crucial time of the game. Every NBA team has a "crazy" guy so he is needed and appreciated by me but he is too inconsistent to be a decision maker in the clutch.

Nick the "Great" will have them ready soon. They will pimp those Tigers again when they face them.

Eli seemed pissed that Nucky "brought my son into this?!?"

I felt Eli on the above. That seems like a violation of the code of the streets bringing someone's kid into your bs. He is going to have to answer Eli on that at some point. I don't think he is going to let that slide.

I was shocked Nucky came out of the house to take the fall instead of his nephew when he thought it was Gyp's crew pulling up outside. That did show he has some redeeming qualities.
