Could be easily documented by someone on ground at Deer Valley Airport. If they see guy getting on with lots of luggage, could be our QB coming to move in for class, also. Only time will tell.

Thanks for sharing. My freshman year. I made the trip to Notre Dame as a member of Tiger Band. We traveled from BR to South Bend and back in busses. Definitely different times from today.
I especially liked the ad for Steinbergs advertising Browning shotgun. You could never advertise firearms now. I remember keeping my shotgun in north end zone dorm room. Used to go squirrel hunting off of Gardere lane.

I think the thing that has me nervous is simply the schedule of events. Lane had two portal windows last year to rebuild his team, which he did nicely. This year he only has this 2 week window to rebuild a team he is new to and doesn't have help of complete staff in this window due to OM still in playoff run. Further, this team in 25 was a disaster as compared to 24 team at OM which was most talented ever by all accounts. Also, further, he has the uphill climb of media narrative of being a deserter to his team and certainly OM playing that up with their current players and my fear, as we've seen with Lacey and Chambliss, is that after their playoff run ends and their 5 day opening for portal entry, he may not be as successful as he would ordinarily have been with players he has familiarity with.

Does anyone know if Coach Kiffin will be on-site at bowl game tonight? I know some coaches have been in booth for part of broadcast but didn’t know what to expect tonight. Thanks.

Probably some truth in this statement, but LSU will be OK with or without Lane if commitment to NIL remains similar with next coach. I like idea of Dilly but I just hope administration at LSU has been working with someone other than Lane so that they can pivot quickly to Candidate B by end of November.

Whether that was strategy or we just missed and he stays at Ole Miss, result the same. They will be stretched for sure. They had a great team last year and we beat them with BK as coach. Hopefully we simply upgrade from BK and we'll be ok if we get LK or don't. Just wish it was final so we could move on.

If you have him signed and it’s public that he’s coming and that can be used in recruiting and portal discussions, yes he can finish season where he is, if the other school wants him to, but only if contract is finalized now.

I Just have a feeling. I feel like real candidate hasn’t even been mentioned on this board yet. I just wonder if chicken is filtering threads regarding him. I haven’t tried to put a name out there to see if my theory is correct for fear of bringing his name to forefront. I would like the hire but many here would not. His candidacy would bring credibility to a rebuild which I think LSU will need.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love a Lane announcement but I just don’t see it happening. I think Sexton simply creating smoke for his clients besides Lane.

Riley smoke and Tom Herman smoke of last two hires. My thought is that real candidates are being vetted currently with announcement as soon as candidate finishes his regular season at current school. If we go past November 30 without an announcement, I think that means candidate is in cfp. Could still be Lane unless he signs extension publicly with Ole Miss, or announces Florida or another option. My hope is that LSU isn’t putting all their eggs in Lane’s basket. He and ole miss would love to come to an agreement for him to stay and not announce hoping to screw up LSU and/or Florida.
