Remember how you used to buy vinyl or CDs or whatever and now you have Spotify or Apple Music? Same thing is going to happen with cars. You’re going to pay $350 per month for the Honda Silver plan and you’re going to basically be subscribed to the right to an on-demand ride in a self-driving car wherever you need to go. 5-10 years it’s happening. I don’t like it either.

Yea but probably was actually from Donbas so remains to be seen whether that will be Ukraine in the future.
Bob Saget is the GOAT in general
Kind of weird that life became like one giant americas funniest home videos episode the way things turned out.

Imagine telling people in 1995 that in the future everyone would be on TV but the only thing on would be AFV, CNN, porn, and COPS.

I hate the new rules. Strategy is the point of baseball. And now a pitcher can’t throw over more than two times UF runner is on against one batter. Also why not let the pitcher go through pitches he wants? And why not let the batter be comfortable in the box? Only to save time? Why are you in such a hurry?

I get what you are saying but this mentality was turning the entire game into a museum exhibit and sucking the life out of the game. You speed it up, make these guys perform faster, make faster decisions, it’s a more lively on field product.
How dumb and/or imperious to reality would you have to be to not believe that greenhouse gas emissions increase the surface temperature of the earth in 2023. Holy shite.
I personally am loving the new MLB pitch clock rules. Totally has reinvigorated the game, in my opinion. Actually excited about watching baseball for the first time in years.

Just talked to this grumbler about how he can’t stand the pitch clock. I asked why - said he’s “old school.” But couldn’t articulate a single reason for why he’s against it. He muttered something about more stolen bases but couldn’t really form a coherent thought about it.

I will say this- you lose some of the drama of the huge pitch. The drama of the 3-2 game on the line pitch can’t be replicated in 20 seconds. But the benefits of the pace of the action and the decreased game times more than makes up for that.

Have you ever heard any legit reasons to be AGAINST the pitch clock? Some people just like being miserable.

the last time we did this in the 80s the USSR bled out and died.

Nothing “we” (assuming by “we” you mean the US Government) did had jack shite to do with why the USSR collapsed and in fact our best and brightest in DC had no idea it was happening until it was basically over.
You know I always thought it was about swapping wives to be honest with you but it’s still a catchy song
