It's an unpopular opinion in right wing circles, but I don't follow the herd.
Israel and ME turmoil means more Arabs have to be displaced and immigrate to Europe and USA, and liberals here will welcome and facilitate it to the max. That's a long-term loss for our society and probably Muslim societies, because Western and ME values aren't very compatible.
Not to mention the constant sponsoring of Israel to the tune of billions we have to give out as charity. It also makes us a terroritst target for disgruntled muslims because we feel the need to defend the country created in 1948. Last such terrorist attack allowed neocons to put us trillions in budget deficit. So I don't think strategically it's a wise America-first move.
