re: What’s the worst driving you’ve ever witnessed?
Posted by Mushroom1968 on 4/18/26 at 6:43 pm to JoeyP239
Let my wife pull the boat out of the way of launch once to see how it feels pulling one. I just meant for her to pull it out of the way and I'm in the boat so I can just jump out when she's done. Just freaking guns it like Nascar and I even fall over from a sitting position. She then slams the brakes, thinking I fell out of the boat, and tries to get out, yelling my name with the vehicle still in drive. She had to dive back in and press the brake with her hands, almost getting herself run over. Well, it caused a scene, I should say.
So I never liked her driving, a few years later, she picked me up at work, as my truck was in the shop. Incredibly, less than 30 seconds of her saying "see my driving isn't so bad," she blows right through a stop sign, never saw it, never checked up.

I can only speak for myself, and only for psilocybin; I've never tried any of the other stuff. It brought me much closer to God. I was a very weak Christian, as in, hadn't been to Church in probably 10-15 years, even though my kids and wife would go. I became much closer to God when taking it, got off alcohol, eased my mind, accepted myself for who I am, stopped having nightmares, and dreading the next bad call I may work. There were some tough "trips", but they always turned good at the end. I'm so much better off spiritually. Fwiw, I haven't taken a dose in close to a year.

Shrooms will open your eyes to an uncomfortable truth or lie you have been living or some other reality you need to deal with. If you aren’t prepared for it then it can hurt you. This is why people warn about bad trips, you really need to be in the right head space. Although usually bad trip ends up being an uncomfortable truth that the person taking the drugs has a hard time accepting from what I have seen.
Great explanation of it.

Interesting…was it temporary or lasting?
For a few years, I'd take a big dose a couple times a year and microdose 2-3 times a week. I haven't taken any in probably close to a year, and I'm good.

I can only speak for psilocybin, but, for me, it did the opposite. It made everything much more real.

There are some vets in pretty bad places where standard therapies just aren't working. More than likely a lot of this research will be through the VA.
Yep, I know how that dark place feels. I’ve heard assisted therapy through a professional is even more amazing. I just took shrooms and that doesn’t always work when you are doing it at the house by yourself, but it did help me. If done correctly, hopefully it helps a lot of people

I’ve been pushing this for years. Not sure if just military but I dealt with ptsd as a first responder and started psilocybin and it changed my life. Started my account here discussing it.

Seriously? I wonder if first responders at some point will be able to use also. This is amazing!! I actually tweeted at RFK jr a few months ago first responders need access to psychedelics.

I'm a proud, white American, Democrat male. I do not like how she looks.

 Hegseth spent time at war and was a heavy drinker for awhile. I don’t see him being in any shape to run in 20 years. I also don’t think he’s electable as a president or would be a good one. I like him currently where he’s at though.

I’m also a democrat and like all white democrats I agree with everything she posted. We also agree minorities are a lesser people than whites and men should be able to date boys.

They’re built that way to better absorb impact. They break apart around the occupants and not on them. They are exceedingly safer now than say 15 years ago.
