I think included what transfers out is a good way of showing if you got better, but a lot of the guys that transferred out got ranked highly solely on them having a high HS or just getting the LSU boost. So I don’t agree with On3s actual system, just their evaluation

I've wondered this every time he starts a thread about a random player entering the portal. I like the effort but man if we don't have anything to believe we're pursuing then its a waste of a post

That might change this year with no spring portal window. That's why teams went away with them. Other teams would use it to scout guys and then tell them to enter the portal

This year presents something new without the spring window. I feel like more guys will be pressured into entering now compared to this window last year because they know it's their last chance for the season and don't get a chance in spring to see where they fall in the depth chart.
So I'm curious when the time deadline is and if we see a massive rush right before (maybe even some of our players who haven't announced their return even though I think most did)
And then theres the 2 playoff teams left that could result in a few more added to the fold. Unheralded times we live in

I agree with the idea of adding a HS qb for the 3rd scholarship player in the room, but it's a very shortlist available: 4 in the top 100 QBs. the top ranked available is 605 overall and 38th rated QB. I think we're better off in the portal

Just taking my guess at the depth we truly need I counted us needing 25 more players for next year. That was going position by position saying "1 here, 3 here, etc." WR and OL are the largest overall by position group needed with 5 and 4 respectively. Following that would be QB and CB with 3

You're going to see Dardar and Simpson on the infield or at DH through the first half of the year at least if not taking a spot. Harden is another to watch for in the outfield (hard to believe I know) or at DH
