re: National Gymnastics Championship Meet Thread/ LSU Finishes 2nd, National Runner Up
Posted by LSUVT on 4/18/26 at 5:10 pm to jpainter6174
Bottom line, we were leading at the 4th rotation. If we scored 9.9's from everyone we would have handily won. But 9.8s doesn't win against OK. You have to be almost perfect to beat them. Runner up is nothing to sneeze at or be upset about. Come back next year stronger and better.

What is her name? Do you have info on her and stats?
Oops I see it now, Noa Morro.

Knox definitely has an attitude and toughness around the paint--just what Kim loves.

If Knox becomes a starter and plays 25-30 min, she will be our best post/rebounder. She can finish through contacts. She blocks a lot of shots. She is very athletic, has soft touch around the basket. She is very aggressive rebounder and can defend multiple positions. She will be a star player for us next season.

Maybe Shaq can fund an LSU NIL for his daughter? He doesn't like giving free $$$ to his children, but an LSU NIL is legit for her to earn.

CJ is a reporter with TigerBait. He is LSU alum. He covers LSU football, WBB, recruiting, transfers, etc. He does interviews with WBB team. Used to be part of Rivals, but I think they're independent now.
Mearah O'Neal at FL is 6'4". Please, hope it's her. We're ready for her to cement her legacy at LSU and for Shaq to come to the games at Pmac.

Flaujae and her Mom manager said that she brought in about $10 million, includes NILs, corporate sponsorships, rap music. Now add $300k-$400k annual Wnba salary. Hope she has good financial planner.
Williams is much better all around, experienced PG. Definitely an upgrade from Richard. Her passing and assists are ridiculously good. Coach Kim loves that. She specifically chose Williams for PG so in Coach Kim I trust. She has played with Mikaylah and Milaysia several times, and they are good friends. They will be good teammates. Her nicknames are Lil Bullet (speed) and Energizer Bunny (high energy). Definitely a fit at LSU.

re: Bella Hines to the portal

Bella Hines: Read it's between TCU and TX Tech. Bella's father interviewed multiple times, he is trying to be a celebrity. He said he wanted guarantee for more minutes or for her to be a starter. But TCU and TX Tech have some of the largest Nils. So looks like all about $$$ for the father. Read that Bella wanted to stay, but father had other plans.
You haters are absolutely crazy. She helped LSU win its first NC and for that we should be thankful. She has led Wnba in rebounds and double doubles during her 1st 2 years. You're putting up hateful Sid pics and comments? Who even thinks about making fun of and hating a young woman whom you never met or spoken to? Oh yeah, losers hiding behind a computer. Why don't you say this to her face? You people spew hate and always criticizing. I wonder how many friends you have?

6'1" G/PG Laila Reynolds of Florida is visiting LSU today. Avg 12.1 pts, 3.4 reb, 1.9 asst, 43% FG. Strong defender 1.7 steals/game. Ranked #19 HS recruit. Former McDonalds AA, All-SEC Freshman in 2024.

Former transfers: Sheppard did well at Cal, she started every game, avg 8.8 pts, 4.5 reb, 3.5 ast. S.Smith had similar stats at UVA vs LSU, but not noticeable improvement like Sheppard. Those are really the only 2. But Sheppard is the one who stood out. The rest did worst, Rosario, Wolfenbarger, Poa, Poole, Bartlett, A.Smith, Gusters etc. Playing in the SEC is brutal, both physically and mentally. Unsure if Bourrage and Hines will become starters, they really needed to stay one more year at LSU to find out if they would be top players. Look at what happened to #92 ranked Jada Richard, she stayed and worked hard after FR year, she vastly improved SO year and proved to be a starting PG (most difficult position under Mulkey). Jada deserves praise from LSU fanbase.

What the heck is going on at Texas WBB? Mass exodus with their star players. Something going on with their head coach?
It's not going to be disclosed unless Gilbert does it herself. It's a personal private family matter and really none of our business. People on this board should not be disclosing it. There are some things that should be kept private.
Just like Jada Richard, instead of leaving after FR year and played only 6.7 min/game, she stayed to prove she belonged even though all the other stars ranked ahead of her. She felt she had something to prove, worked hard to improve during the summer/fall, and no one was going to take over starting PG except her. Big fan of Jada.
