Pete Nakos is a MORON! I'm pretty sick of the guy giving out FALSE info. His sources have their heads up their asses. Princewell is IN the portal right now. According to 247Sports he was in the portal YESTERDAY. God, I wish this Nakos guy would just STFU!G

Correct! I don't like Ole Miss better than anyone else but these conspiracy theories are getting a bit old. The player is IN the portal according to 247Sports.

The window is 2 weeks as you stated. But here is the extension you were talking about that does NOT include Ole Miss...from CBS sports site "players participating in a postseason game on or after Jan. 12 will have an opportunity to start the transfer process during a five-day period that begins the day after their final postseason game. "

The 5 days are up. Oh, and for the record, my guess is that as long as he applies for the portal by midnight tonight, I doubt Ole Miss little delay tactic will work. Also, FYI, 247Sports has the player listed in their portal listings dated yesterday I might add. That sounds like an unfounded rumor IMO.

Loved the video. I honestly don't know why some people think on the PLAYERS side (not the lost coaches) that Ole Miss is doing badly. Counting 247sports T ratings only (excluding HS ones that are obsolete at this point), Ole Mis has 7 4* guys incoming and 1 5* and 5 4* outgoing. That is not bad at all...in fact a plus IMO. The real killer is if Chambliss is denied an extra year which I believe he will be BTW.

Two things: 1) I predict this is Dabo's last year coming up at Clemson. He refuses to change with the times even I have sympathy for his position 2) there will be no walk-ons. Everyone who puts on a football uniform must be on scholarship now.

I think included what transfers out is a good way of showing if you got better, but a lot of the guys that transferred out got ranked highly solely on them having a high HS or just getting the LSU boost. So I don’t agree with On3s actual system, just their evaluation
Are we sure that guys with HS ratings ONLY count in the transfer portal overall points? I'm too lazy to do the math but the simple check on that is we know the overall average per player so either that average counts HS + T ratings or just T ratings. Obviously, the average won't be the same determined by which way they count towards that average.

Curne I expect to do well. Same with Echols. Adams I have doubts about. Chester IMO has 0.0% chance. Same with Mubenga. I have seen all those enough to give my opinion on their talent. Miller and Williams I have no info about. Regardless of all of those theoretical grades, I'm pretty sure Brad Davis was a bad OL coach. The simple reason: even untalented players SHOULD improve. None of those above who had many starts seemed to improve AT ALL!
re: Ja’Mard Jones, the OT from Nicholls—anybody know anything about him?

Guy, post less! Calling me a name didn't make your case at all. The VAST majority of small school players never make it as major contributors at P4 schools. LIE all you want, it doesn't change the FACT! Ty Alexander at LSU was ONE exception but there have been umpteen guys who transferred to LSU from such schools and appear on milk cartons!
You say the "NFL is littered with them". What is the % of those from small schools who make it. It is TINY...VERY TINY! And there are hundreds and hundreds of small schools...many FBS ones...many FCS ones...Division 2.
Bottom line.. I suggest you follow curling because this football post you made was full of CRAP!! :doublebird:

Most NFL linemen do not come from schools like this. But that is pretty irrelevant anyway. No one here seems to suggest he would ever be a starter at LSU. Multiple posters are saying "depth piece". What LSU fans I'm pretty sure want to see are "SEC caliber starters". So far, the OL recruiting has been lacking to be kind. I'm not in panic mode but objectively the OL has been the weakest part of the incoming portal so far and after QB was the most crucial. Just sayin'

Toviano is the one that has surprised me so far. But then again, it took Parker several days to find a new team and it happened to be Ohio State. I will say there have only been a couple of surprises to me...OL...who signed with good SEC teams. But then again, the pudding proof will be do they start or are they just "depth pieces.' If depth pieces, then we could say
LSU bad OL starters = other teams good depth pieces
LSU bad OL starters = other teams good depth pieces

I couldn't care less about whether Ole Miss FANS are having a meltdown or not. What I care about is whether Ole Miss is dropping down a peg or two. Assuming Chambliss isn't allowed another year and he won't be IMO, that is definitely a big dropoff. BUT, if you look at their portal acquisitions vs outgoing guys, they are doing OK.
The team that is a dumpster fire in the SEC in transfer portal activity is Alabama. For you stargazers, there were 10 incoming signees with a grand total of 1 4* player. On the outgoing side, there are 23 and more importantly 8 4*. That is what I like to refer to as a "talent drain." :rotflmao:
Ole Miss is doing OK...Alabama not so much.

As other posters have said, this better be a depth piece because so far, it is obvious that OL SEC CALIBER STARTERS have yet to be addressed. There is still time to do so but OL has clearly been the weakest unit of acquisitions from the portal so far. LSU needs more than "depth pieces".
Better than any linemen we had last year Allowed 0 sacks

Yeah, that poster's Thompkins commit is confusing. He HAS committed to N Carolina several days ago but never signed. He is visiting LSU but no evidence he has committed or signed with LSU. I guess today will tell something.

I will say this. Now that we are a few years into NIL, this will start to happen to a lot of teams. Internal bickering with some players making too much and some making too little.
100% agree, and I'm surprised this hasn't caused more locker room issues but the numbers haven't been getting totally ridiculous until recently (Bryce Underwood seemed to be the real start of it). How is it remotely fair that a guy is getting a LOT more on potential than guys who have been putting their butts on the line for year(s) at a place and may end up having a much better career.
I knew I should have invested in a company making football lockers because I think there may be a lot of them needing replacing due to them being dented by frustrated players who don't agree with the pay scale. :rotflmao:

Doing much better than Alabama as of late for sure. Alabama was #2 in December after only NSD for HS players. Now, they are #7 in overall ratings at current time including portal guys also. 'nuff said
Overall 247 team ratings (HS + Portal recruting)
Posted by NotaStarGazer on 1/14/26 at 4:46 pm
There have been multiple postings about LSU pulling away in the 247Sports transfer portal ratings. But they of course have recruits (HS) and overall numbers also which includes HS + Portal. FYI, they simply add the 2 numbers together for the overall rating. Don't ask me why the transfer numbers in general are so low compared to the HS numbers...never has made a any sense to me. IMO, it should be the opposite since despite the less years of eligibility, the transfers have a college track record of play.
Anyway, LSU has climbed from 12th in HS team rankings to 8th in overall team rankings due to their great transfer ranking of #1. They have passed Georgia, Miami, Tennessee, and Michigan in overall rankings now and are on the heels of #7 Alabama who is not doing so well to say the least.

Yeah, my brother said the same thing as the original poster about the MS court. And I gave the same response you did. That is a waste of time for the Mississippi court to rule. It will go on appeal to ANOTHER court NOT in Mississippi even if Chambliss wins initially. Ole Miss is wasting their time. Chambliss is DONE at Ole Miss....period!

Oh, so now you claim YOU were joking. Wow...just wow! Hard to believe a guy who CLAIMS he doesn't even read my posts and yet time and time responds to them. Guess I will add "psychic reader" to your "dense" character. Geez guy, even you should realize every time you post to me you prove yourself again the fool.
