When I was in the military and we’d go out to bars, I’d intentionally ask the hottest girl to dance. They were usually left alone because most guys were intimidated to talk to them.

I didn’t gaf.

She gets her source from a retired general talking head. Meanwhile, calculate the real losses (eliminate friendly fire and aircraft we destroyed on the ground) and I would say Iran’s super duper heat detection isn’t helping that much.

I’ve seen more blackhawks destroyed in a night of training that the twinge mentions. Hell, my son has been on more than 2 destroyed in training.

Sad for her parents, but how do parents allow a child to get that far gone?

My HS daughter (no pics you pervs) who is a junior has some psychological struggles but her mom and I stay on top of it pretty well and can read her well.

I can’t imagine being so unplugged for any of our kids as to let it get this far. Kids don’t wake up on a random Tuesday and have the fist thought of “I’m going to kill myself”. Bad news is her parents now get to live with the “benefit” of hindsight and seeing the warning signs.

Shitty situation all around, but the face looking like she stumbled into a tackle box should have been a warning.

It’s 100% true. It’s not just the ghetto most people have in their minds, but anything below a “decent” neighborhood.

I’ll never forget the time I had a quick trip out of own for a meeting. Lived in Las Colinas (DFW) and was flying to Houston for the day. The kids apparently forgot to lock and shut the front door all the way and it blew open fairly early in the morning. The house was empty all day until about 10pm. Driving up I see the open door and wonder wtf.

I go in, nothing is out of place as I’m closing the door my neighbor asks if I meant to leave the door open all day. I definitely didn’t.

That would not go down the same in other parts of a city.

Good. When I was in the flu vac was mandatory and there were about 8 of us who every year had serious adverse reactions to the vaccine. We would be sick as shite for 72 or so hours.

Our requests to waive the vax were ignored year after year.

We should probably do what Obama did - sign whatever the Iranians want us to, send them a pile of cash, and act like we accomplished something and then leave it to the future administrations to deal with.

Nah, I’d rather have a president who tackles the tough issues and beats our enemies to the point they truly concede. Make. Those. frickers. Quit.

Not at all. The Mass I went to had the deacon say the homily (I don’t agree with that practice) but I’ll give the deacon credit it was an on point and moving homily. It also had exactly zero politics in it.
