re: My Miniature Dachshund Bit Me
Posted by Longhorn Actual on 3/2/26 at 9:52 pm to Missouri Waltz
Not sure if it even exists anymore, but there was a Texas based hunting forum and a guy with the handle "Duck General" (he "was the Duck Commander and then got promoted") conned everyone into believing he used a dachshund to retrieve ducks. He'd chime in on the "what's the best breed of duck dog" threads with that nonsense and have them all wound up.
I remember him saying that for what they lacked in swimming ability, they made up for with the ability to mark ducks in flight..."because it was only natural since they've been looking up their whole lives."
The dachshund bit, along with the condescension toward anyone who hunts with a Rem 870 and his "Subaru is the perfect duck hunting vehicle...never been stuck once" bit, he'd have those guys losing their minds.

If you've ever wondered what a Scotsman looks like, that's it.

It was always clear.
You really should take a seat and observe. That's all you are, an observer. Your constant regurgitation of open source material as if you're dialed in is unnecessary.

It’s an ISR drone designed for cyber warfare while also carrying 15x the payload as its predecessor the predator.
It isn’t stealth in the same way B2 bombers are, it’s stealth because of its jamming capacity.
It’s literally called a “hunter killer” as it can sit and track and hover over targets from 24-36 hours without refueling depending on how much weight it is carrying in weapons
It’s specifically designed for high altitude long endurance surveillance with the ability to deliver massive payloads depending on how much it has outfitted on each flight. And no, we do not use them “very openly”
Everyone can read the Wiki page, hoss. I get that you're passionate about it since your wife's brother flies one, but your original premise is dead wrong.

It's a great platform, but it's the work truck version of our UxS capability.

The most accurate part of that is the "poverty cosplay" bit about Ft. Worth.

I don't know if the guy is right or wrong. Just always drives me nuts when people take to the airwaves with analysis that, if true, doesn't need to be openly discussed.

Out of my price range but I’ve heard they do good work at Bass. Martinez too.
I have no dog in this fight, other than not wanting to see someone waste money.
These 2 are not comparable in any way. GB is an actual luxury car. Martinez is a Camaro with a $125,000 window sticker. You can pay that if you want, but it’s still a Camaro.

His suits are much lower quality than what you're paying for and he also has very questionable taste.
If you want a timeless look and clothes that fit properly, go to George Bass. There is no other real option in Louisiana.
Peyton and Archie Manning trust them. You can too.

You'll get other opinions on here, but trust me on this one.
George Bass in Baton Rouge or New Orleans.
LA isn't some large metro like NYC, LA, Dallas where you have multiple options. If you want your MTM/Bespoke suit to actually fit, go through George Bass.
They will also ensure it's tastefully done and you don't spend a bunch of money to look like an idiot.
