Yea, 8 additions from portal, 2 added from high school class. 9 departures from portal, and 1 out of eligibility, so I think numbers-wise, we're back to where we were for 2025 season.

Ole miss "insiders" are convinced it's Kiffin tampering and "going all in on trying to poach as many players as they can right before the portal closes to send everything into chaos."

I tend to agree. But it's possible it's going like Notre Dame who motivated their donor base to pony up funds when BK left them to show that LSU doesn't have more "resources" to win a championship. Ole Miss could similarly be using the Kiffin saga to rally the troops. We'll see if it's temporary or lasting

There's only one portal window this year. But we could still sign a HS kid. Or roll with Picarella. There will be lots of uncommitted QBs in the portal after the portal closes so I assume in the weeks ahead they'll take a shot with someone from the portal on no one's radar.
