They just might be even crazier. Lane did say they tried to run him off the road as he was leaving Oxford. I’ve seen at least a couple hundred posts across social media from their fans saying they plan to try and kill Kiffin or LSU fans at the game next season. I’d like to believe those are all just poorly thought out venting from a hurt fan base but all it takes is 1 or 2 unhinged enough to be serious.

I wouldn’t mind the chant if it was only done for really big moments like a big game comeback or after winning a NC. Thought it was cool when the band played it on the streets in 2020 before the NCG. Seems like now people want it to happen after every single win which takes it from being stupid but kinda funny to just plain retarded

Same guy with a different last name, yeah. All I know of that story is people repeating it on socials the last couple days. Had never heard it before then so I’m not sure if there’s any merit to it or if it’s a case of the rumor mill running wild

5,277 and I'm happy to have been one of them. Even before I knew jack shite about hockey I was having a blast watching it. I think a lot of LSU football fans would enjoy it more than they think. Though I don't think it'll ever really happen, it's definitely fun to think about what it could be like.

FWIW, about half of the players on the Monroe team are from Canada. Only one is from the South (Miami) and the rest of the league is similar with a lot of the Americans coming from places like Michigan and upstate NY. There seems to be plenty of guys happy to have a chance to play even if it’s not in a traditional hockey environment. Granted, a lot of FPHL players aren’t even D1 level of talent but I still think recruiting for it would definitely be possible

I’m aware there’s club teams but I mean actual NCAA ice hockey. Hockey as a whole has had huge growth in popularity recently. The FPHL, a single A minor professional league, already has teams in Monroe (the Moccasins) and Baton Rouge (the Zydeco). The Monroe team has been doing exceptionally well not just in performance but in attendance too in their first 2 seasons. The Baton Rouge team has seen much lower production in both categories this year but is still well loved by their fans. There has also been some talks of a third FPHL team in Alexandria but I haven’t seen any updates on that recently.
I’m not sure where the club team at LSU plays but there’s already a fairly nice rink at the Cane’s River Center in BR where the Zydeco play. I think it would definitely be interesting to see happen. I know a lot of LSU fans might be unsure about it due to being unfamiliar with the game, but I’ve yet to meet anyone who went to a hockey game and didn’t have a fantastic time.
Obviously this isn’t something that can just happen easily but I’m curious what y'all think. Would you be interested in attending or watching LSU hockey?

If it wasn’t from the coaches directly, it was in the form of them or their families continently getting “really good deals” on nice cars, houses, etc. Hell even just playing HS football in Louisiana I knew a few guys who were getting treatment like that

This is how I feel. I don’t particularly “pull for” any other team, but when another SEC team wins big it’s like “oh that’s nice at least it’s the SEC” but with how obnoxious their fans and the media have been during this whole thing, I want OM to get their shite rocked so hard it takes them a decade to recover

I could see the cost being doable for a lot of people, myself included, except the NC game. Stay in a hotel an hour or so from the stadium, sit in nosebleeds, drive instead of fly. It’d be a big spend but I could make it work and it’d be worth it imo. Apart from the cost, I think getting the time off work would be a problem for a lot of people wanting to go to every playoff game.

I love bowl games. Yeah they’re “meaningless” when you’re not playing for a championship but it’s a fun way for players, most of whom won’t play after college, to cap off a winning season and take a sort of victory lap. I understand the ones who want to opt out to not risk injury before the draft but if they want to play, let them have their fun
