Don’t have to get them in the next week. Portal then closes, but can sign anybody out of the portal at any time. In addition, teams ending their playoff runs have additional time to enter the portal.

how to get the two o-line players on there

I believe the small school guy should eventually get on there, but I read yesterday that JUCO players do not enter the portal. They just transfer, so we may not see him on the list.

There is no such thing as overpaying without a salary cap

There may not be a salary cap in the rules, and some schools in fact have no cap, but I believe Ole Miss does in fact have a cap. If they pay some of their players more than they would have just to keep them away from Kiffin, that is overpaying. That leaves less money to go around.
I don’t want Ole Miss or Miami to win, but I will pull for Ole Miss to lose.
If I remember right from last year, 247 team ranking is based solely on the rankings of the the players signed from the portal, while On3 does a net ranking of the difference between the players lost to the portal and players signed. Because we lost so many, it will take a while to make up some of the ground for the net ranking.

Not only benefits, but employees are subject to and protected by state and federal labor laws, OSHA guideline, etc. Overtime laws, working conditions and even labor Unions would come in to play. You do not want college football players to be considered employees.

And Workers’ Comp. Before NIL, some states sued to make colleges treat athletes as employees. The schools fought it because they did not want to be liable for workers comp. The schools won and since NIL, the employee talk has someone died down but the Supreme Court said in the NIL ruling that the players employment status was not part of the filings so they would not address it, but hinted that if they ever were to file a suit, they would probably lean to treating as employees. I don’t know if players would try to claim that anymore because under the current setup, they have more advantages now. Unless the suits would come from players in minor sports.

What game is going to be in Paris?

In the last couple of days, I read the Paris Game may not happen next year. The NFL and the stadium in Paris are in negotiations but it seems the negotiations aren’t going well and they need to set the date soon or they will not play the game in Paris next year.

In a addition, if a DSA transfers schools, that designation follows them to the new school.
You are making this way too complicated. ESPN doesn’t make money on fans in the seats. ESPN makes money on selling ads which are supported by TV viewing numbers. ESPN doesn’t have to make record setting ad revenue off of the bowls. They only have to make more money than the content that would replace all of this air time that would be available by eliminating the bowls. That’s a lot of dodge ball on the air without the bowls.

I guess we are in to announcing analysts now days

With no limit for on field coaches any more (only limit on how many can recruit off campus), there is no need for “analysts”. Give them titles and list them as part of the staff.

How does he pronounce his last name? Like Bobby does?

Hoping you are not serious, but Herbert is pronounced just like it’s spelled. Hebert does not have the R before the B. Not the same names.

Answer to our QB problems.
It’s been a while since a read it, but I believe NIL deals for less than $600 don’t have to go through the clearinghouse. There were quite a few of the initial deals submitted to the clearinghouse that were rejected. Some for payments in excess of market value, but most because of technical problems with the application/contracts, etc. Those were given a chance to resubmit. I think since then I read a much higher percentage of the deals have been approved.

have yall seen Penn state? They have 3 commits. How the hell is that even possible

They don’t have a coach. And some in the national media wanted LSU to not sign and announce Lane until after the playoffs. That would have played really well.
If any players want to follow Lane to LSU they will be doing it whether or not Weiss coaches Ole Miss in the playoffs.
I believe he applied for an additional year, but no guarantee he gets it.
In the past 24 hours Coach Kiffin has tweeted twice. Once announcing he was leaving Ole Miss and had accepted the LSU job. The next one was a picture of Mike the Tiger after he got here. I’m sure those two made you sick. If you can’t handle those two, you got a long road ahead with Kiffin’s tweets. That’s who he is. You can get off of X or block him.
