But in this game they were a major factor. Cause you can't have 35 to 15 FTs when both teams are shooting same amound of 3s and attack the paint consistently. And both challanges which went ORL way were very questionable to put it lightly.
We suck, it's clear, but we weren't playing the LAL or GSW to see such whistle.

Actually, you are one of the many not only among Pels fans, but NBA too.

Regarding the trade proposal - It's clear that is one of those where the goal is to mess up with player's mind, to see if he is willing to put pressure on the team to trade him (because it's GSW, LAL, etc.)
If Orlando gives 4 UNPROTECTED picks for Bane, who earns 13mil more than Trey, there is no way we trade him for what could be only 1 first round pick. If you remove the protections you might consider it, otherwise HELL NO.
If they want Zion and Hawk for Moody & Kuminga for their '26 and '28 picks its different story. Or Herb for Moody and those 3 picks.
Trey has his best season (close to 50/40/90, highest reb and ast) and is looking more and more as the perfect player next to Queen and Fears and his contract fits their timeline. Not to mention that we need to start adding proper shooting, not trading our only consistent volume shooter.

Refs were simply awful. Until we won the first challange every touch in the paint was foul. And even though both team constantly attacks the rim it was 22 to 8 at some point.
Then the 2 challanges in the 4th turned the game completely.
Exactly!!!
Zion contract is still guaranteed, simply not fully (right now it's 20%). So people here are suggesting to take Bucks road and have 8-9 mil on the books for next two seasons.
And imagine the backlash from lots of fans (there are still plenty going to the games because of him) and National media if we do it while he is healthy and playing.
It's really puzzling how many people are disliking the news but at the same time do not trust Dumars to make trades. Somehow you expect him to get fair value for Herb or Trey at the deadline?!? Looking at Trae value how many picks you think we will get for them right now? And will anyone give '26 pick?
And who will give you a pick for Zion right now, especially when they have to send 40mil back? His value will NOT be lower in the offseason, simply because it's at the bottom of the ocean. But if he miraculously stays healthy and keep improving his stats we might actually get a pick in the offseason.
I am sure that if we make the same trade as Hawks you will be still complaining.
The only worrying part of the article is that it didn't mention Poole. And if we trade him now we will attach picks.

1. Fears

4. I don't like him

Wonder what are the arguments for those who downvoted it.

5. This season he played good only against us.
6. He can shoot only with guns these days.

Dalton Knecht and Maxi Kleber work perfectly for Herb, although i'd want a future 1st as well (2031 is what the Lakers can offer)

That would be an awful trade.
Knecht is almost unplayable and LAL '31 is not an atractive pick.
We can definitely receive a way better offer if he stays healthy for next few weeks.
Everyone jumps on his shooting last night, but overlooking how much better our defense was.
A contender will want him for his defense mainly, not so much for his shooting.

Shooting 58% vs 43 % and still losing with 8 points. There was not a single player who didn't commit a ridiculously stupid turnover.
If they start taking care of the ball just a bit they will win this one, as Miami are already tired and can't hit a shot after the hot start.
quote:

And our coach is an idiot for having his retarded arse on the floor late.

And who exactly he was supposed to play when Jose is suspended?
Poole is one of the dumbest players but he was also one of the reasons we were leading after 3rd.
Fears couldn't get a shot in the second half and he could not close that game for sure.
If miraculously Kawhi stays healthy they will be in the play-in. With the way he is playing and their schedule they will be the 10 seed in couple of weeks.
So unless OKC gives us some of Cason Wallace or Ajay Mitchell it's not the best offer we can get.
quote:

I didn’t study the fight and only saw highlight. Looked like Jose was the aggressor and the other player was defending himself

Perhaps you have to study it next time, before writing such nonsense.
Jose threw the better punch, but he approached Williams with both hands down just talking shite to him. And it all started with Williams pushing him in the back (could be lightly, but completely unnecessary, as the refs called the foul already).
So Jose grabbed his arm only after another push by Williams and then he threw two punches first (in the air) before Jose throwing only one, but a very good one.

Last two games showed how important Herb is for that team. So if we end up trading him, better be for 3-4 firsts.

I'd gladly trade Zion/Looney for Lavine

Or Zion/Hawk for Lavine and couple of seconds (they have their own and Horntes 26).
Looney has team option, so better get off Hawk contract.

Who says no to this trade?

No way LAL will trade Hayes, Knecht, Kleber and 1st for Missi, Jose and Looney.
They won't trade them even without the pick probably.

No one dislikes anyone from that list other than Zion

There is constant hate against Herb, Jose, Trey as well and the team in general.
I do agree that we have to trade Jose, simply because we won't be able to pay him, like Naji (who was also heavily hated here).
Zion could be traded now, if something decent is offered and should be traded/cut in the offseason (depending of his availability and play for the reminder).
Herb should not be traded right now unless we receive 2-3 first round picks. In the offseason you will get better offers for sure, because he will keep playing better (hopefully no more injuries).
Missi should not be traded yet.
Hawk is done with the NBA. If he can't play any minutes in this improved offense under JB, he won't anywhere.

Herb is absolutely horrible
I don’t know what people see in this guy

And so on and on from the first few pages.

I really don't understand why lots of the people here are fans of Pelicans and are even posting in this forum.

It's one thing to be so negative, because of Willie, but to be so dramatic right now, after every missed shot or that we're losing to Houston at half-time is nonsense.
It's obvious that only for a month JB have changed a lot, forming some identity, shaping the future roster (it's clear we are building around Fears and Queen) and the games are fun to watch again. And with more practices we are only going to get better. 20 wins, 30 wins, 40 wins... it's irrelevant for this season. The unprotected pick is irrelevant too, because we have our rookies, so .....just root for them.
And root for:
Herb, because he is most definitely not done (ask Curry and Durant). And he is actually shooting his normal 34% from 3;
Jose, who have finished more game in a month under JB than the whole Willie's tenure;
Trey - he seems perfect for Fears and Queen;
Zion, who still helps the development of the rookies by simply being on the floor and attracting attention (and we need to build some sort of a value)
Poole - same as for Zion. And we most definitely won this trade, as Bey is awesome
Karlo, McGowens, Missi, Peavy - all are developing as a nice pieces from the bench.

most likely make moves to add guys.

We are playing 11 guys every game and when healthy could go to 13 (Peavy and Hawkins were DNP vs Bulls) and that's without Dejonte, but you think we will make moves to add players?
Right now JB is doing exactly what Dumars said in the beginning - establishing a playing style which goes 10-11 deep and not counting on one player. Every time we are finishing the games with different 5 and we are seeing glimpses of how we would like to play going forward.
Therefore to trade Zion, Herb, Dejonte and Trey makes no sense at all.
Only Zion or Herb should be traded if there is a proper offer, but definitely not both before the trade deadline (in the summer is a different story). Another one which should be traded now is Jose, otherwise we will lose him for nothing, like Naji.
Trey have shown that he is the perfect player around Fears and Queen, so we would definitely keep him this and next year and Dejonte has NEGATIVE value right now.

besides maybe defend?

Kobe is 9 time All-Defensive FIRST team (12 in total) vs 0 for Durant and you are saying maybe...
I guess you have never watched him playing to say such nonsense.

KD is great scorer, Kobe was a winner.

Even the Warriors and Grizzlies (8 and 9) are starting to slip and are exploring big moves.

Actually Grizzlies started winning afte rJa got injured, but now he is back so hopefully they will start losing again. But unless they blow it up they are a lock for play-in.
Warriors will have a winning record at the end, unless Curry have few more injuries.
But getting to 10-12 spot is very realistic, especially if we win 5-6 of the next 9 games, which is not so unbelievable.

People actually think Kobe is better than Durant ? Lol

I see KD is very active from his burner accounts today.
If we find someone stupid enough to gives us some picks right now, sure, but I doubt that even Bulls are so dumb.
And since we want to win some games he has to play, preferably from the bench till January at least.
If he got injured again, who gives a frick, if we're not getting anything meaningful for him, we can try to trade him in the offseason or cut him.

I don't think DET or GSW would be a problem at all, that helps both teams. That's a pretty solid trade for all 3.

How exactly it helps DET?
They didn't extend Ivey (and Duran) because they want more flexibility, and Harris is expiring, but you think they will want to pay Poole and Horford (who is barely playing) for one more year?
And how will Missi help the old GSW?

And where have you read that LAL wants Zion?
