I wanted to thank all the great LSU fans I encountered this past weekend. Our large group had a good time. Went down to New Orleans for a night and spent all day / night eating and drinking on bourbon street. We ended up leaving NO and just came on up to Baton Rouge friday after our hotel advised us to. Spent friday night at Chimes which seemed to be a pretty popular spot. Arrived to near Tiger Stadium around 7:00am and went to the ASU tailgate as well as meet some tiger fans. Just wanted to say being near the top of the stadium there is not a bad seat in the house. One of the best stadiums to view a game in. Even after we got our butts kicked on the field tiger fans were still very nice and wished us best of luck on our travels and even offered up traffic advice for leaving town. Our flight was scheduled to leaving New Orleans sunday evening and we wanted no part of that so we needed up renting a car and driving all the way back to Charlotte, NC which took probably around 13-14 hours once you figure in all the stops and fill ups. Overall a wonderful experience in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Wish we could have seen a night game + a better showing for the Mountaineers but I guess that just gives me another excuse to make a return trip. Best of luck to the LSU Tigers for the remainder of the season.

haha...Thanks everyone for trying to get this character to chill out...This is what i hate about going over to other teams message boards...cause i know there will always be one idiot fan from my school trying to cause problems...Guess if he plans on doing the things he says he isnt really looking forward to cheering on the Mountaineers...

Guy with Armanti Edwards with his nickname on here chill out and quit embarrasing Appalachian State and hell if you are going to talk like that atleast change your name to Nick Saban or something so you dont disgrace Armanti's name...

Oh and Tiger fans...no clue where the Clay Aiken comment came from...sounds like he is a disgruntled fan of clays...and yes clay aiken is from NC but besides teenage girls i would say most people wouldnt claim him or use his name in an argument...

Yeah we are staying in New Orleans and have chartered several buses to come down for the day of the game...not much of a homophobia just was curious if we were going to be staying right in this middle of the event...

This will be my first trip down that way so i am looking forward to lots of this :cheers: with Tiger fans and hopefully just maybe see a decent football game...dont really have a SEC team i pull for being in ACC country but I have really started to pull for LSU anytime I see them on tv...

Sorry for the misprint (actually found a LSU magnet and have it on frig so i should have got it right but to correct it...

If my memory serves me correct I think we are staying in a Marriott on or near Canal Street...so from the sound of it we wont be right in the middle of it...I am not worried about running into gays i just didnt want to be right in the middle of their party...

Thanks Tiger fans...yeah I was at work today and a buddy emailed me the link, and I just wanted to see what some more local peoples opinion was...Thanks for the quick responses...Will probably try and research some places away from the main part of the celebration, and then ask again later on some recommendations...Thanks and even with that going on i am still looking forward to a great trip...

Info about New Orleans for LSU -vs- ASU weekend

So just heard that the weekend we are heading down there is the same weekend as an event called Southern Decadence. So we are going to be in New Orleans for the majority of our 4 days there. Is this event just a part of town or what??? Anyone with details please share!!! Nothing against individuals attending this event we are just going to try and steer clear of it...
